L-lysine 400 mg
Vitamin C 170 mg

Ingredients:
L-lysine hydrochloride, ascorbic acid, capsule: HPM cellulose, coloring agent: titanium dioxide.

Brief information on lysine:
Lysine is one of the essential (indispensable) basic amino acids. Lysine serves (with the participation of methionine, vitamin C, iron, vitamin B6 and niacin) in the body as a starting material for the synthesis of carnitine. Lysine and arginine use the same transport systems in the plasma and thus have an antagonistic effect. This can lead to outbreaks of herpes (with increased arginine intake), especially in people who are prone to herpes simplex.

Examples of possible nutritional measures of lysine:
Lysine is required for collagen protein synthesis (bones and connective tissue). Due to its antiviral properties, the dietary administration of lysine can effectively support the therapeutic measures in the treatment of herpes infections. Advantageous dietary dosages in the acute phase can be 1,000 to 2,000 mg per day or, in the short term, higher dosages as well as a later maintenance dose of up to 500 mg/day.

Important note : As with all amino acids, long-term higher single doses lead to imbalances in the amino acid metabolism.
