Field of use

Amorocutan 50mg/ml (pack size: 3 ml) contains the active ingredient amorolfin and is used to treat nail fungal infections of the toes and fingernails. Amorocutan 50mg/ml (pack size: 3 ml) is only used 1 x per week, is waterproof and can also be used under cosmetic nail polish.

Mode of action

The active ingredient Amorolfin penetrates deep into the nail bed and fights the nail fungus.

Contradictions

• The preparation must not be used
  • if you are allergic to the active ingredient amorolfin or one of the other components of this medicine.

DOSdilation

• Always apply this medicine exactly as described or according to your doctor or pharmacist.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the nail polish is used as follows:
  • Apply the nail polish once or twice a week to the infected finger or toenails.
  • Older people:
    • There are no special dosage recommendations for use in older people.

 

• Duration of the application
  • Mushroom infections are often very persistent. You must therefore carry out the treatment continuously once or twice a week (as described above) until the nail has grown completely healthy. The time required for this is generally 6 months (fingernails) and 9 to 12 months (toenails), with the degree of infestation playing an important role. The nail growth speed is approx. 1 to 2 mm per month.
  • A review of the treatment is recommended at intervals of about three months.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

Taking

• For use on the nails
• Before the first application, the diseased parts of the nail surfaces are as good as possible. To filed for all other applications as required (e.g. when the nails thicken).
• In any case, use an alcohol swab for cleaning the nail surface. Any remnants of paint are also removed.
• Apply the active ingredient nail polish with a spatula. To make it easier for you to apply the active ingredient nail polish, the pack is included with a spatula holder. Please put a reusable spatula into the spatula holder.
• Please remove the nail polish with one of the spatula. Immersify the spatula for each nail to be treated with the perforated surface and do not touch it off on the bottle neck (there is a risk that the screw cap glues with the bottle).
• Apply the nail polish with the spatula evenly to the entire area of the sick nail.
• Due to the special form of the spatula holder, a touch of the spatula with the storage area is avoided (fungal spores remain on the spatula). You can take the spatula in between without fear of having to transfer fungal spores.
• Immediately close the bottle after each use to avoid drying out the solution. Let the treated nails dry for 5 minutes.
• To reuse, clean the spatula after use with the alcohol swab.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Contact your doctor or pharmacist before using the nail polish.
  • There is still no experience in inflammatory changes in the vicinity of nails, diabetes, circulatory disorders, error nutrition, alcohol abuse and in children and infants.
  • This product is inflammatory! Keep the solution away from fire and flames!
  • Avoid contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes.
  • The use of cosmetic nail polish and artificial nails should be avoided during treatment.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • No special precautions are required.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• Since the local application of the amorolfin nail polish is to neglect the active ingredient in the body, neither impairments during pregnancy nor effects on breastfed newborns or infants can be expected.

Each pack contains one -file, alcohol swab, spatula and a practical spatula holder for hygienic handling.
