Field of use

Aptamil Anti-reflux thickener powder (pack size: 135 g) is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet).
For diet management of increased spitting and belching. For direct thickening of breast milk, infant milk or special foods. But not suitable for exclusive feeding of infants.

Mode of action

The natural swelling substance locust bean gum makes the food particularly creamy and reduces backflow into the esophagus (reflux).
Aptamil AR Thickener can be added directly to expressed breast milk, baby milk or special foods. Neutral in taste.
Manufactured without gluten-containing ingredients according to the law - gluten-free.

Aptamil Anti-reflux thickener powder (pack size: 135 g) contains:

Maltodextrin, thickener locust bean gum (30%), calcium carbonate, iron-II-sulfate, zinc sulfate.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.

Patient information

Preparation instructions:

Feeding in a bottle with breast milk: Express breast milk and add the thickener to the still lukewarm milk according to the recommended dosage. Shake the bottle for 30-60 seconds and then leave to thicken for 7 minutes. After shaking again, feed immediately.

Feeding in a bottle with baby milk, HA-food or special food: Prepare the usual baby milk according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Add the thickener according to the dosage table and shake the bottle for 30-60 seconds, then leave to thicken for 7 minutes. Shake the bottle vigorously again, check the contents of the bottle for drinking temperature (approx. 37°C) and feed immediately.
Spoon feeding: Add the thickener to the liquid according to the dosage chart. Stir this together and let the paste stand for 3 minutes to thicken. Stir again and then feed with a spoon before or during the meal.
