Bacillus subtilis – briefly explained
Bacillus subtilis is the subject of many scientific studies and is considered the new Super bacterium. It occurs naturally in the human intestine and, due to its high resistance to stomach acid, can pass through the gastrointestinal tract virtually unscathed.

The bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis CU1 used in Bacillus subtilis plus is very well researched, highly stable, and patented.

Each capsule of Bacillus subtilis plus contains 2,500,000,000 viable bacteria.

Nattokinase – a brief explanation
The enzyme nattokinase – like vitamin K2 – is abundant in the traditional Japanese specialty natto.

The bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis natto produces the enzyme nattokinase during the fermentation of soybeans. It is produced by bacteria to better digest the proteins contained in soy. The nattokinase contained in Bacillus subtilis plus is particularly notable for its high enzyme activity.

Each capsule of Bacillus subtilis plus contains 50 mg or 1000 FU (enzyme activity) of nattokinase.

Vitamin K2 can only be absorbed in small amounts through diet. It is found in large quantities only in natto (fermented soy product). Bacillus subtilis plus from Dr. Jacob'contains vitamin K in the form of long-chain vitamin K2 (all-trans MK-7). This vitamin has significantly better stability (half-life of approximately 3 days) than vitamin K1 (only 1–2 hours) and is the most biologically active form of vitamin K.

Vitamin K2 enables the formation of both coagulation factors and anti-coagulation factors, especially protein S, and thus supports normal blood clotting.

Bacillus subtilis plus also contains important micronutrients such as zinc, vitamins A, and C – all of which support the immune system. Vitamin C and zinc are part of the antioxidant system and protect cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C supports collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels.

Only a small proportion of the precursor provitamin A (beta-carotene), found in fruits and vegetables, is converted into effective vitamin A. Therefore, the additional intake of vitamin A in the form of retinol is beneficial.

1 capsule bacillus subtilis plus contains 24 mg vitamin C, 5 mg zinc, 240 μg retinol equivalent vitamin A and 18 µg vitamin K2.

I particularly like the combination of the bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis and the enzyme Nattokinase, which are otherwise rarely found together. I feel well taken care of, especially because of the high-quality composition with vitamin K2. Great product!
