BepanCare^® Scar Gel

for smoother, flatter, and softer scars.

BepanCare^® Scar Gel can be used to care for scars up to two years old. Regular use can result in paler, flatter, and softer scars – itching can also be relieved. BepanCare^® Scar Gel helps improve the appearance of reddened and raised (hypertrophic) scars: It contains silicone, which acts as a protective film, the moisturizing ingredient panthenol, and an integrated massage roller for improved scar appearance.

For use on scars
After surgery or other deep cuts where the wound extends to the second layer of skin, the dermis, a scar is almost impossible to avoid. New tissue is formed with the help of replacement tissue consisting of collagen fibers (a protein in the skin). However, this differs in structure and appearance from "normal" skin: A scar develops that is usually reddened, hairless, and sometimes raised (hypertrophic).

The restructuring process to form the new skin can take up to two years. During this time, those affected often experience symptoms such as
• Itching,
• Redness, or
• Pain and a feeling of tightness.

Depending on where the scar develops, it can also become visually disturbing. Therefore, good scar care is recommended. The solution: BepanCare^® Scar Gel with Massage Roller, which, thanks to its functionality, helps improve the appearance of the scar and can make it flatter and paler:
• Silicone: It forms a thin protective film that covers the scar and protects the newly formed skin from drying out, thus maintaining moisture balance.
• Panthenol: This moisturizing substance binds water in the skin, thus complementing the effectiveness of the silicone.
• Massage Roller: Promotes the breakdown of collagen fibers. This improves the appearance of the scar.

Consequently, regular use can have a positive effect on the scar: redness subsides, and the scar becomes flatter and less noticeable. Itching is also relieved.

Use BepanCare^® Scar Gel for at least two months. It is suitable for adults and children aged three and over. The following applies: • After wound closure: Apply the silicone to the scar twice daily with your fingertips, forming a thin film. Then let the gel dry for a few minutes (for example, before dressing).
• At least one month after wound closure: Roll first, then apply cream! Apply the scar gel twice daily by gently massaging the scar tissue with the integrated massage roller for a few minutes. Then apply a thin film of gel and allow it to dry completely.

Please note: The gel should not be used until the wound has completely healed. The massage roller should not be used until at least one month after wound closure; the tissue is still too sensitive. BepanCare^® Scar Gel should not be used near the eyes.

Cleaning instructions: You can wipe the massage roller with a damp or dry cloth; do not clean it under running water. If skin reactions or pain occur during use, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Do not use the scar gel if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

The ingredients
In addition to the massage roller, the ingredients silicone and panthenol are particularly recommended for improving the appearance of scars. The former is characterized by the fact that it forms a thin protective film over the scar, preventing it from drying out. This effect is supported by panthenol, which has a high water-binding capacity and thus provides additional moisture.
