Bergamot is a citrus fruit that is mainly cultivated in Calabria, southern Italy. The Bergamottebaum becomes up to 4 meters high, has evergreen elongated leaves, white flowers and rounded to pear -shaped, acidic mountain amotization fruits that are harvested between November and March. Bergamot is mainly used in perfumery (Eau de Colgne) as a top note and in food aromatization (Earl Gray Tea).
