Field of use

Biotin beta 5 tablets (pack size: 30 pcs) is a vitamin preparation and serves to use:

• to prevent a biotin deficiency
  • to treat a lack of biotin
  • to treat a deficiency in the very rare biotin-dependent, multiple carboxylasemangel

Mode of action

Biotin is involved in many metabolic processes such as carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism and participates in cell growth. It activates the metabolism and promotes the new formation of hair roots and the nail bed.

Biotin beta 5 tablets (pack size: 30 pcs) contains:

Active ingredient:
Biotin 1 tablet contains 5 mg biotin.

Other ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, povidon K 30, magnesium stearate (Ph. EUR.)

Contradictions

Biotin beta 5 tablets (pack size: 30 pcs) must not be taken,

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) compared to biotin or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

Application recommendation of Biotin beta 5 tablets (pack size: 30 pc) always take this medicine as described or exactly according to the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

• For the prevention and treatment of a biotin deficiency:
  • 1 - 2 Tablets (corresponding to 5 - 10 mg biotin) daily.
• Less than 0.2 mg biotin is sufficient for prophylaxis per day.
• Preparations with a lower biotin content are available for lower doses.
• For the therapy of multiple carboxylasemangel:
  • 1 - 2 Tablets (corresponding to 5 - 10 mg biotin) daily.

• Duration of the application
  • The preparation is taken up to normalize biotin values in the blood.
  • The duration depends on the course of the underlying disease. Please ask your doctor.
  • With the very rare biotin-dependent, multiple carboxylas deficiency, it is taken for life.

Taking

Take in the tablets un -cunt with sufficient liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
