Instructions for use for BITTERSALZ Caelo HV-pack, 100 g
Caelo Bittersalz
Active ingredient: magnesium sulfate-heptahydrate
Composition: 100g Caelo bitter salt contain 100g magnesium sulfate-heptahydrate.
Areas of application: for short -term use in the event of constipation. For intestinal emptying before diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
Contraindications: Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate must not be used in the event of a intestinal obstruction and with limited kidney function. It should not be used for inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases and disorders of the water and electrolyte balance.
Side effects: When using very high doses or in chronic use, magnesium poisoning can occur - especially with restricted kidney function, which is characterized by central nervous disorders, muscle weakness, reflex failures, fatigue, partly paralysis, coma and by heart rhythm disorders. As with other laxatives, the losses of water, potassium and other salts can occur with longer -term use. This can lead to disorders of heart function and muscle weakness, especially when taking diuretic means and adrenal steroids at the same time.
