Blood orange is a citrus fruit with deep red pulp and reddish shell that is cultivated in the Mediterranean. Orange trees are evergreen and become up to 10 meters high. They are divided into four categories: blond, navel, bitter oranges and the acid-free oranges. A coveted vitamin-rich herby of fruit juice is obtained from the somewhat smaller blood oranges.
