Field of use

• The preparation are white, round chewing tablets, which contain the substances that are important for bone formation calcium and vitamin D3. It is used to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency in older people and as an additional treatment to support specific osteoporosis therapy.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you have too high calcium levels in the blood or urine.
  • if you have a serious impairment of kidney function.
  • if you suffer from kidney stones.
  • if you have too high vitamin D levels in the blood.
  • if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D or one of the other components of this medicine.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described here or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is:
  • 1 Chewing tablet daily.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • If you have taken a larger amount than you should, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• You can suck or chew the tablet.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine,
    • if you receive long -term treatment, especially with the simultaneous income of diuretics (for the treatment of high blood pressure or edema) or heart glycosides (for the treatment of heart disease).
    • if you suffer from restricted kidney function or tend to form a pronounced stone formation.
    • if you suffer from sarcoidosis (a disease of the immune system that can lead to the increase in vitamin D level in the body).
    • if you have immobilization osteoporosis.
    • if you use other vitamin D containing preparations. The additional intake of calcium and vitamin D should only be carried out under a close -meshed medical supervision.
• Children and adolescents
  • The medicine is not intended for use in children and adolescents.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • No studies were carried out on the effects on traffic and the ability to use machines. However, effects are unlikely.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
• Pregnancy
  • During pregnancy, the daily intake should not exceed 1,500 mg calcium and 600 i.E. vitamin D. Due to the vitamin D content, the medicine is therefore not suitable for taking during pregnancy.
• Breastfeeding
  • The medicine can be taken during breastfeeding. Calcium and vitamin D3 pass into breast milk. This should be noted if the child is also given vitamin D3.
