CARE PLUS Anti-Insect Deet Spray 50%, 200 ml

Care Plus® Anti-Insect DEET Spray 50% is the most effective anti-insect agent for the skin. It is suitable for tropical travel destinations (risk countries for malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever) as well as for European countries. The active ingredient DEET is highly effective against both mosquito bites and tick bites. DEET is the most effective remedy against mosquitoes (malaria) and against ticks and is also effective against mosquitoes and small mosquitoes. DEET products are applied to bare skin.

Instructions for use
Care Plus® recommends covering the skin with clothing as much as possible. Preferably wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. We recommend treating all exposed skin areas with Care Plus® Anti-Insect DEET (Natural or Sensitive) for optimal protection against bites and stings. Apply the insect repellent evenly with the palm of your hand. To protect facial skin, apply a small amount of insect repellent to face with fingers. Then wash your hands and apply the product to the back of your hand. In order to be able to eat and drink unhindered, the fingers should never be smeared with the agent. In children, the insect repellent should not be applied to parts of the body that can easily come into contact with the eyes or mouth, such as B. hands or forearms. Apply the insect repellent to the skin ten minutes before exposure to the sun during the day. When using a sunscreen, apply the sunscreen 30 minutes before going out in the sun. Then 20 minutes later (i.e. 10 minutes before you go out in the sun) apply the insect repellent. When protection is no longer needed or if side effects occur, wash treated skin thoroughly with soap and water.

The duration of action of Care Plus® Anti-Insect
• DEET 50% provides protection for up to 10 hours.

More frequent application of the insect repellent is not recommended.

The application in children
• DEET 50% is suitable for children aged 18 and over.

Bitrex®
Small children, discovering their surroundings, put everything in their mouths without being aware of the possible dangers. That is why we have been adding the odorless and bitter substance Bitrex® to our Care Plus® DEET products since 2012. Bitrex® reduces the risk of ingesting the insect repellent.

DEET and plastic
DEET attacks certain materials. Contact with plastic and painted surfaces such as spectacle frames, cameras and table tops should therefore be avoided.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period
There are no official studies on pregnant women. If you plan to use an insect repellent while pregnant or breastfeeding, you should opt for Anti-Insect Natural as this product is hardly absorbed through the skin. We recommend not using any products that contain the active ingredient DEET during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you still want to use DEET, you should limit yourself to the fourth to ninth month of pregnancy. In this case, opt for DEET 30% gel.
