Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine for the treatment of fungal diseases (mycoses) of the skin. The active ingredient clotrimazole penetrates the affected layers of the skin and attacks the mushroom there. The result: the fungus dies or is inhibited in its growth.
• The spray is used:
  • For the treatment of fungal diseases (mycoses) of the skin, caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and others, such as Malassezia Furgen, as well as skin infections by Corynebacterium minutissi.
  • These o.A. infections can occur e.g. B. in the form of:
    • Mycoses of the feet (foot mushroom), between toes and fingers, on the nail fold (paronychi), also in connection with nail mycoses; Skin diseases that are super infected with clotrimazole-sensitive pathogens; Mycoses of the skin and skin folds; superficial candidates; Pityriasis versicolor (lichen mushroom wicker); Infections with Corynebacterium Minutissi (erythrasma); Seborrheic dermatitis only with microbial participation or the like. Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,

• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Spray and rub the solution 2-3 times a day on the diseased skin and the adjacent healthy skin areas.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of treatment depends, among other things, on the extent and location of the disease. In order to achieve complete healing, the treatment should not be canceled after the complaints have subsided, but should be consistently continued up to a therapy duration of at least 4 weeks. Pityriasis Versicolor generally heals in 1 - 3 weeks and erythrasma in 2 - 4 weeks.
  • In the case of athlete's foot, in order to prevent relapses - despite rapid subjective improvement, about 2 weeks should be treated beyond the disappearance of all disease signs.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • The consequences of the application to large amounts of the drug are not known; There are no reports on this.

 

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Next time, do not apply a larger amount of the drug, but continue the treatment as recommended.

 

• If you cancel the application
  • In order to achieve a complete healing of the fungal infection and prevent relapse, you should not end or interrupt the treatment prematurely without consulting your doctor. If you do this anyway, there is a fear of returning the symptoms, since your fungal disease is probably not yet properly healed. You should not stop the treatment after the complaints have subsided, but consistently continue (as recommended under "Duration of the application").

Taking

• Before each application, you should wash the infected skin areas so that the loose skin scales are removed. After that, you should dry the skin thoroughly, especially between the toes at foot fungus, so that no moisture remains.

• What can you do in addition?
  • Change towels, laundry and stockings every day that come into contact with the sick skin. This simple measure already supports healing and prevents transmission to other parts of the body and people.
  • If the spray nozzle is blocked, it can easily be cleaned with warm water on the outside. Do not clean spray nozzles with pointed objects, otherwise the nozzle can be damaged.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • The medicine has no or a negligible influence on the roadworthiness and the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
• So far there is only a limited amount of data for the use of clotrimazole for pregnant women. If you apply the medicine, as described here or recommended by your doctor or pharmacist, the active ingredient clotrimazole is only absorbed into the body in a very small amount; A systemic effect (effect on other organs) is therefore not to be expected. For precautionary reasons, Clotrimazole may not be used in the first 3 months of pregnancy.
• Due to the low absorption with topical application, the medicine can be used during the intentionally used during breastfeeding. During breastfeeding, the medicine should not be applied directly in the chest area.
