For centuries, Indian medicine has valued turmeric not only as a spice. It also serves as a natural remedy for various ailments. Traditionally, curcumin has primarily proven itself for digestive problems. In addition, the herbal remedy is said to have anti-inflammatory properties in particular.

In 2016, scientists at Saarland University were able to demonstrate in a study that curcumin has a very specific anti-inflammatory effect.¹A strengthening of the immune system has also been discussed recently. For example, an Iranian study with 30 participants indicated that the daily intake of curcumin over a period of four weeks can have an immune-modulating effect².

The most important properties of Curcusol^®: Highly concentrated and bioavailable

The food supplement Curcusol^® contains the active ingredient curcumin from the Asian turmeric. The tropical perennial belongs to the ginger family. In its natural form, curcumin is hardly water-soluble, so only a very small part of it is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Due to this fact, in the past it was hardly possible to use the versatile nutritional properties of curcumin effectively.

However, scientists have developed ways to significantly improve the absorption of curcumin in the small intestine: Curcusol^® contains curcumin in a special form. In this so-called solubilization, curcumin is enclosed in water-soluble and acid-stable micelles using a patented technology. The solubilized curcumin in Curcusol^® has a much higher bioavailability than the original curcumin.

• Curcusol^® may only be taken after medical consultation if the bile ducts are blocked (e.g. due to gallstones), as curcumin stimulates the flow of bile.
• As a precaution, pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take dietary supplements containing curcumin.

Laboratory studies showed that curcumin has anti-inflammatory effects. It probably binds to enzymes that control inflammatory processes in the body. Scientists from Saarland University were able to prove the anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin in a study ³.

They found that the mechanisms of action of curcumin and cortisone are comparable. Smaller studies in patients with ulcerative colitis indicate that the supplemental intake of high doses of curcumin can have a positive effect on the course of the colon inflammation.

I achieved very satisfactory results with Curcusol.Among other things, it provides excellent relief from the pain of inflammation.I would definitely use it again if needed.

I was advised to take Curcusol for my knee inflammation.The tablets are a good size and easy to swallow.I can report on how well it reduces my inflammation after my next doctor's appointment.So far, I've mainly noticed that my pain has lessened and I tolerate the medication very well.

Curcusol is highly recommended for inflammation.Regular use quickly reduces pain and inhibits inflammation.I now always keep the tablets in my medicine cabinet because I unfortunately suffer from inflammation quite often.
