CUTIMED Alginate Alginate compresses 5x5 cm, 10 pcs

Cutimed^® Alginate is an alginate made from natural sea algae, which consists of 20% of calcium and 80% sodium alginate. The carrier material is a semi -permeable non -woven fabric that is coated on both sides with natural fibers from seaweed. An integrity layer contained in the product core gives the association improved wet stability.

During the exchange of the calcium ions of the wound association with the sodium ions of the exudate, the alginate converts into a gel with fluid intake.

Cutimed^® Alginate impresses with a very high and fast absorption and retention assets, which reduces the number of association changes and reduces the risk of maceration. Its gel -like consistency enables a simple change of bandage, since liquid remains safely enclosed in the core. The association can be removed painless in one piece and for the patient.

Cutimed^® Alginate has a bloodstilling effect on slightly bleeding wounds. Thanks to the highly flexible fibers, it adapts to every wound ground and is easy to cut.

Cutimed^® Alginate consists of 30 % calcium and 70 % sodium alginate.

• APPLICATION AREAS

  Cutimed^® Alginate^® is suitable for:

  • moderately to strongly exuding wounds, such as superficial injuries, ravine, pressure points, diabetic ulcer, venous/arterial ulcus cruris
  • Donation areas
  • postoperative wounds
  • also applicable under compression therapy

  Change of association: depending on the patient and the wound situation, but at the latest after 7 days. The permanent application should not exceed 30 days.
