Field of use

• The medicine is a pain-relieving gel based on lidocaine hydrochloride.
• For the temporary, symptomatic treatment of pain in the oral mucosa, gums and lips.

Mode of action

The active ingredient of Dynexan Mundgel cylinder ampoules (pack size: 2X1.7 g) has an inhibiting effect on the transmission of pain and thus stops the pain in e.g. B. Aphthous ulcers, pressure sores, gum inflammation, cold sores and teething. Even a small, pea-sized amount is sufficient for targeted use. Among parents with teething babies, the product is considered an insider tip for effective, child-friendly teething aid.

Contraindications

• The medicine must not be used
  • in case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients or to other local painkillers (local anesthetics) of the acid amide type

dosage

• If the symptoms do not improve within a week or if unclear symptoms occur, a dentist or doctor should be consulted.
• Dosage instructions
  • Adult
    • Apply a pea-sized piece of the preparation (this corresponds to approx. 0.2 g gel or 4 mg lidocaine) to the painful areas in the oral cavity 4-8 times a day and massage the gel in lightly. A total dose of 40 mg lidocaine should not be exceeded.
    • If pain occurs when inserting dentures or braces, apply the preparation thinly to the affected areas.
    • When the dentist uses the medicine from cylinder ampoules, the gel is introduced into the alveoli and gum pockets using a special cannula.
  • Children, toddlers and infants
    • For children, toddlers and infants, use a pea-sized piece a maximum of 4 times a day (dose individually, taking age and weight into account).

Patient information

• Particular caution is required when using the drug
  • in patients with severe disorders of the cardiac stimulus formation and conduction system, acute decompensated heart failure and severe kidney and liver diseases. Although the absorption of the active ingredient into the organism after using the preparation is significantly lower than during anesthesia with this substance, general effects on severely damaged oral mucosa cannot be completely ruled out.

• Before treatment with the product, tell your dentist or doctor whether you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. You should not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding unless your doctor thinks it is clearly necessary.
