epiivo^® – Relieve itching with thermotherapy

Purpose: For the symptomatic treatment of itching in acute and chronic pruritus.

Working principle:
With the thermotherapeutic method, concentrated heat is applied locally to the itchy skin area. Skin receptors are activated and transmit the heat stimulus. The signaling pathway for the itch is blocked and relief can begin. epiivo^® works chemical-free and is therefore also suitable for pregnant women, allergy sufferers and children.

Application:
• Depending on the therapy needs, you can choose between two temperature levels (approx. 47 °C or approx. 49 °C).
• Place the skin-friendly ceramic contact surface on the affected skin area and press the button.

*Own use for children aged 12 and over. Do not use the device on children under 3 years of age. Please carefully consider whether symptomatic treatment with epiivo^® is appropriate for your child. Warnings:
epiivo^® must not be applied to or on
• Eyes and eyelids
• mucous membranes
• open wounds, broken skin (e.g. open blisters)
• Scalding or burning of the skin
• Sunburn (dermatitis solaris)
• Frostbite of the skin
• Tumors and malignant changes in the skin
• Known, increased algesia (increased pain sensitivity) in small fiber neuropathy, allodynia, hyperalgesia
• Individuals with known reduced sensitivity to pain and temperature
• Immediately after applying ointments, creams, lotions, etc. to the affected area
• anaphylactic reaction.

Field of use

Epiivo (pack size: 1 piece) is used to treat itching in acute and chronic pruritus.

Mode of action

Thanks to the thermotherapeutic method, the concentrated heat is applied locally to the itchy skin area. As a result, the skin receptors are activated and heat stimuli are passed on. This blocks the signal path for the itching and relief can occur. Epiivo (pack size: 1 piece) has a chemical-free effect and is therefore also ideal for allergy sufferers, pregnant women and children (not suitable for children under 3 years of age, self-use for children from 12 years of age).

dosage

Recommendation for use of Epiivo (pack size: 1 pc):

Depending on your own therapy needs, you can select one of the two temperature levels with the temperature selector switch under the sealing cap:
1st stage 47°C (delivery condition)
2nd stage approx. 49°C

Then align the device with the ceramic contact surface centrally on the affected skin area and press it down lightly. Please ensure that the entire ceramic contact surface comes into contact with the skin.

After you have pressed the button, the heating-up phase begins, during which the ceramic contact surface heats up to the selected treatment temperature. Once this temperature is reached, the treatment time of 5 seconds begins. During this phase, the status LED lights up. After the treatment, the device switches off automatically. An acoustic signal sounds at the beginning of the heating-up phase and at the end of the treatment. Please hold the Epiivo (pack size: 1 piece) as still as possible in one place during heating and treatment.

Then remove it from the treated skin area.

Please note that the success of the treatment may depend on the individual. If you only achieve insufficient relief from the itching during treatment at level 1 with approx. 47 °C, it may be wrong to continue the treatment at level 2 with approx. 49 °C to continue. Read the package leaflet.
