Field of use

• This medical device is a so -called defaulter.
• It is used:
  • for symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. B. flatulence (meteorism), feeling of fullness and in functional dyspepsia
  • to prepare diagnostics in the abdominal area, such as B. Endoscopy, X -ray and sonography.

Contradictions

• Must not be taken if they are hypersensitive to Simeticon or one of the other components.

dosage

• For gas-related gastrointestinal complaints:
  • Adults and young people from 14 years:
    • Single dose 1 - 2 soft capsules (corresponding to 140 - 280 mg Simeticon);
    • Total dose: 3 - 6 soft capsules (corresponding to 420 - 840 mg Simeticon).
  • For children under the age of 14 and infants, other forms of dosage are available to achieve a suitable dosage.
  • The duration of the application depends on the course of the symptoms. If necessary, the soft capsules can also be taken over a long time.
• To prepare imaging studies:
  • Adults and children from 6 years:
    • the day before the examination: 2 - 3 soft capsules (corresponding to 280 - 420 mg Simeticon)
    • in the morning of the examination: 1 soft capsule (corresponding to 140 mg Simeticon)

Taking

• The soft capsules are too or after meals, if necessary even before going to bed.
• The soft capsules are swallowed.
• You can also swallow the capsules together with a little liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water) if this makes it easier for you to take it.

Patient information

• Children:
  • Children under the age of 14 should not take this product for symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints. For this age group, other forms of dosage are available to achieve a suitable dosage
 

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy and breast feeding period
  • There are no concerns about taking during pregnancy and lactation.

Espumisan gold pearls must not be taken with hypersensitivity (allergy) against Simeticon or one of the other components of Espumisan Gold Pearls.

Espumisan gold pearls against flatulence are sugar -free.
