Field of use

• Gastrointestinal funds and an aid for diagnostics.
• The active ingredient Simeticon lets the gas bubbles embedded in the food porridge and mucus in the mucus of the digestive tract. The gases that become free can now be absorbed by the intestinal wall and removed by the intestinal movement.
• Application areas
  • For symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. B. flatulence (meteorism) or flatulence, feeling of fullness
  • To prepare diagnostic studies in the abdominal area, such as B. X -ray and sonography (ultrasound)
• Gas-related symptoms can also be an expression of functional disorders in the gastrointestinal area and, in the feeling of pressure and fullness, premature feeling of satiety, belching, intestinal scooters and flatulence.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredient Simeticon or one of the other components of the drug.

 

dosage

• Unless otherwise prescribed, take the drug, if not prescribed, according to the instruction in this package insert. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Dosage
• The usual dose is:
  • To treat gas-related gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. B. flatulence (meteorism) or flatulence, feeling of fullness
    • Age: children from 6 years, young people and adults
      • Dosage: 2 pearls (corresponding to 80 mg Simeticon)
      • Frequency of intake: 3 to 4 times a day
      • Note: Involtage is also possible after operations.
    • Other dosage forms are available for younger children and infants.
    • Add the medicine to or after meals, if necessary even before going to bed.
    • Take the drug as long as your symptoms exist.
    • If necessary, the medicine can also be taken over a long time.
  • To prepare diagnostic studies in the abdominal area, e.g. B. X -ray and sonography (ultrasound)
    • the day before the examination: 3 times a day 2 pearls (corresponding to a total of 240 mg Simeticon)
    • in the morning of the examination day: 2 pearls (corresponding to 80 mg Simeticon)
    • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • Poisoning after overdose is practically excluded. Large amounts of the drug are also easily tolerated.
  • The active ingredient Simeticon brings the foam in the gastrointestinal duct in a purely physical way to dissolve.
  • Simeticon is not included in the body and is not changed chemically and organically during the intestinal passage.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • You can catch up at any time.

 

• If you cancel the intake
  • The symptoms can occur.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Taking

• To treat gas-related gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. B. flatulence (meteorism) or flatulence, feeling of fullness:
  • Add the medicine to or after meals, if necessary even before going to bed.

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking the drug is required:
  • In the event of newly occurring and/or longer -lasting abdominal complaints, you should see a doctor so that the cause of the symptoms and a disease that may be underlying can be recognized.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking all drugs.
• Due to the effect of Simeticon and the lack of recording from the gastrointestinal tract in the body, no negative effects can be expected after taking the drug during pregnancy and lactation.
• There is no clinical data for the use of the drug for pregnant women.

Miscellaneous

Espumisan pearls must not be taken with hypersensitivity (allergy) against Simeticon, yellow orange S (E110), methyl-4-hydroxybenzoat or one of the other components of espumisan pearls (E110) can cause allergic reactions. Hydroxybenzoat can cause hypersensitivity reactions, including late reactions, and the use of espumisan pearls is also possible after operations. Read the package supplement and ask your doctor and pharmacist about risks and side effects.
