Instructions for use

Infants aged 6-8 months (with a body weight of 5-6 kg)	2.5 ml&	1-3 times daily	at intervals of 6 hours, regardless of feeding
Infants aged 9-11 months (with a body weight of 7-9 kg)	2.5 ml&	1-4 times daily	at intervals of 6 hours, regardless of feeding
Toddlers aged 1-3 years (with a body weight of 10-15 kg)	5&ml	1-3 times daily	at 6-hour intervals, regardless of meals
Children 4-5 years (with a body weight of 16-19 kg)	7.5&ml	1-3 times daily	at 6-hour intervals, regardless of meals

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient belongs to a group of substances that have both pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects and can reduce fever. All three effects are primarily based on the inhibition of a substance produced naturally in the body, called prostaglandin.This substance must be present as a messenger substance in order for pain to be felt, inflammatory reactions to be triggered, or body temperature to be raised.

What are the contraindications?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Blood disorders
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, including previous history
- Bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, including previous history
- Gastrointestinal perforation, in the past in connection with the use of certain medications (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
- Active bleeding, such as:
- Cerebral hemorrhage
- Severely impaired liver function
- Severely impaired kidney function
- Severe heart failure
- Severe dehydration

In certain circumstances - consult your doctor or pharmacist:
- Gastrointestinal complaints
- Inflammatory bowel diseases, including a history of them, such as:
- Crohn's disease
- Ulcerative colitis
- Blood clotting disorders
- High blood pressure
- Coronary artery disease (impaired blood flow to the heart muscle)
- Possible risk of vasoconstriction in the heart, such as in:
- Increased fat concentration in the blood
- Diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
- Smoking
- Peripheral circulatory disorders (e.g. Arms, legs)
- Impaired blood flow to the cerebral vessels
- Collagenoses (changes in the connective tissue area), such as:
- Lupus erythematosus
- Mixed connective tissue disease (inflammatory rheumatic connective tissue disease)
- Porphyria (metabolic disease)
- Major surgery that has recently taken place
- Chickenpox

Which age group should be considered?
- Infants under 6 months: This medicine must not be used.
- Infants under 5 kg body weight: This medicine must not be used in this group.
- Elderly patients aged 65 and over: Treatment should be carefully coordinated with your doctor and monitored, e.g., through close monitoring.The desired effects and undesirable side effects of the drug may be increased or reduced in this group.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor.Various considerations play a role in whether and how the drug can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist.They will assess your specific situation and advise you accordingly on whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

If you have been prescribed the drug despite a contraindication, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may outweigh the risk associated with use in the presence of a contraindication.

Side effects

What adverse effects may occur?

- Gastrointestinal complaints, such as:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Heartburn
- Flatulence
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Abdominal pain
- Bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract
- Tarry stools; if this occurs, consult a doctor immediately
- Gastritis
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, which may also rupture
- Inflammation of the oral mucosa
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Insomnia
- Irritability
- Agitation
- Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as:
- Rash
- Itching
- Attacks of shortness of breath
- Visual disturbances; if these occur, consult a doctor immediately
- Worsening of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis)
- Worsening of chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract (Crohn's disease)
- Mouth ulcer
- Asthma attack, possibly with a drop in blood pressure

What should you be aware of?
- Your ability to react may be impaired even when used as directed, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Pay particular attention if you are driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could cause injury.
- If you have pain or fever, do not use for longer than indicated in the package leaflet without medical advice!
- Long-term use of painkillers may result in headaches caused by the painkiller itself.Talk to your doctor to prevent your headaches from becoming chronic.
- Habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage.If several painkillers are combined, or if one painkiller contains multiple active ingredients, the risk increases.
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma, or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever: This medication may trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction.Therefore, consult your doctor before use.
- Caution if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Caution if you are allergic to the sweetener saccharin (E number E 954)!
- Caution if you are intolerant to fructose (fruit sugar).If you must follow a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be interactions with certain medications.Therefore, you should generally inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medication you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medication.This also applies to medications you buy yourself, use only occasionally, or have used for some time.
- Alcohol consumption should be avoided as much as possible during long-term treatment .Occasional alcohol consumption in small quantities is permitted, but not together with the medication.
