Field of use

Folplus film -coated tablets (pack size: 90 pc) are a dietary supplement that contains folic acid and important vitamins. Folic acid (vitamin B9) is often no longer absorbed by older people in sufficient quantities and should therefore be additionally supplied to the body. The German Nutrition Society recommends a daily nutritional supplement with 400 µg folic acid.

Mode of action

Folic acid in the body ensures the breakdown of homocysteine. This is a harmful intermediate product that arises in metabolic processes in the body. Folic acid is also supported by the vitamins B6 and B12. A low concentration of the homocysteine also has a positive effect on the blood vessels and thus on the cardiovascular system. A sufficient supply of folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 also stabilize the bone metabolism.

Contradictions
