Field of use

• What is the drug?
  • The preparation is a vegetable medicine that is used for liver diseases.
• What is it used for?
  • The preparation is used for supporting treatment:
    • in chronic inflammatory liver diseases
    • with liver cirrhosis
    • and in toxic liver damage (caused by liver poison)
• The medicine is not intended to treat acute poisoning.

Contradictions

• You must not take the medicine
  • if you are allergic to Maria thistle fruits and/or other basket flowers as well as other components of this drug.
  • during pregnancy
  • for the treatment of acute poisoning

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly after consultation with your doctor, pharmacist or the medical staff. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Recommended dose
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dose for adults is:
    • 2 hard capsules twice a day
  • Single dose
    • 2 Hard capsules (corresponding to 166 mg silymarin)
  • Total daily dose
    • 4 Hard capsules (corresponding to 332 mg Silymarin)

 

• How long can you take the medicine?
  • Your treating doctor decides on the duration of the intake. If your symptoms continue to exist afterwards, please see your doctor.
• Please also speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should,
  • the described side effects can occur to an increased extent. If you suspect an overdose with the medicine, please inform your doctor. Poisoning of poisoning has not yet been observed.

 

• If you forgot to take it,
  • after that, do not take the twice the amount, but continue with the intake as it is specified here or was prescribed by your doctor.

 

• If you cancel the intake,
  • their original complaints can occur again. Regardless of this, no negative phenomena have so far been described when stopping the medication.

Taking

• It is best to take the capsules after breakfast and after dinner, unscure. Drink enough liquid, preferably 1 glass of drinking water, the capsule is easier to swallow. Taken don't get the capsules when lying down.

• When is special caution necessary when taking it?
  • Particular caution is necessary if you suffer from a liver disease or have suffered from a liver disease in the past. In these cases, please consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
  • A doctor is to be consulted for jaundice (light to dark yellow skin discoloration, yellow coloring of the white white).

Pregnancy

• Breastfeeding
  • There is no sufficient examinations to use the preparation during breastfeeding. It should therefore not be taken during breastfeeding.
