Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How to use?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g., a glass of water).

Duration of use?
Without medical advice, you should not use this medicine for more than 3 days for migraine headaches or fever, or for more than 4 days for pain relief.Adolescents should not use this medicine for more than 3 days without medical advice.If symptoms worsen, medical advice should generally be sought.

Overdose?
An overdose may cause, among other things, headaches, dizziness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, a drop in blood pressure, drowsiness, and respiratory problems.If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

Missed a dose?
Continue taking the medicine as usual at the next scheduled time (i.e., do not take a double dose).

In general: Pay particular attention to careful dosing, especially in infants, young children, and the elderly.If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.

A dosage prescribed by the doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet.Since the doctor adjusts the dosage individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to their instructions.
Dosage
General dosage recommendation:
Adolescents from 12 years of age and adults
(from 40 kg body weight)
1 Tablet 1-3 times daily at intervals of 6 hours, with a meal
If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the medication with a meal.

Indications

- Mild to moderate pain, such as:
   - Headaches
   - Toothaches
   - Menstrual pain
   - Pain associated with colds
- Fever
- Migraine, treatment of headaches, especially in the acute phase

Mechanism of action

How does the active ingredient of the medication work?

The active ingredient belongs to a group of substances that are effective against pain and inflammation and can reduce fever.All three effects are primarily based on the inhibition of a substance produced by the body, called prostaglandin.This substance must be present as a messenger substance for pain to be felt, inflammatory reactions to be initiated, or body temperature to be raised.

Contraindications

What are the contraindications for use?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Blood disorders
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, including a history of such ulcers
- Bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, including a history of such bleeding
- Gastrointestinal perforation, in the past in connection with the use of certain medications (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/antiphlogistics)
- Active bleeding, such as:
- Cerebral hemorrhage
- Severely impaired liver function
- Severely impaired kidney function
- Severe heart failure
- Severe dehydration

Under certain circumstances - please consult your doctor or pharmacist:
- Gastrointestinal problems
- Inflammatory bowel diseases, including a history of such diseases, such as:
- Crohn's disease
- Ulcerative colitis
- Blood clotting disorder
- High blood pressure
- Coronary heart disease (circulatory disorders of the heart muscle)
- Possible risk of narrowing of the blood vessels in the heart, such as with:
- Elevated fat levels in the blood
- Diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
- Smoking
- Peripheral circulatory disorders (e.g., arms, legs)
- Cerebrovascular disease
- Collagen diseases(Changes in the connective tissue area), such as:
- Lupus erythematosus
- Mixed connective tissue disease (inflammatory rheumatic collagen disease)
- Porphyria (metabolic disease)
- Major surgery that has recently taken place
- Chickenpox
- Heart failure
- Impaired kidney function
- Impaired liver function

Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 12 years: This medication should generally not be used in this age group.There are preparations that are better suited in terms of active ingredient strength and/or dosage form.
- Children and adults weighing less than 40 kg: This medicine should generally not be used in this group.
- Elderly patients aged 65 and over: Treatment should be carefully coordinated with your doctor and closely monitored, e.g., through frequent check-ups.The desired effects and undesired side effects of the medicine may be more pronounced or less pronounced in this group.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor.Several factors need to be considered to determine whether and how this medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist.They will assess your individual situation and advise you on whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

Side effects

What adverse effects may occur?

- Gastrointestinal complaints, such as:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Heartburn
- Flatulence
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Abdominal pain
- Gastrointestinal bleeding
- Black, tarry stools; if these occur, consult a doctor immediately
- Gastritis
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, which may perforate
- Inflammation of the oral mucosa
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Insomnia
- Fatigue
- Irritability
- Excitability
- Skin hypersensitivity reactions, such as:
- Rash
- Itching
- Shortness of breath
- Visual disturbances; if these occur, consult a doctor immediately
- Worsening of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis)
- Worsening of chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract (Crohn's disease)
- Mouth ulcer
- Asthma attack, possibly with a drop in blood pressure
- Gastrointestinal perforation

Notes

What should you be aware of?
- Your ability to react may be impaired even when used as directed, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Take particular care when driving or operating machinery (including household appliances) that could cause injury.
- Do not use for longer than indicated in the package leaflet without consulting a doctor if you have pain or fever!
- Prolonged use of painkillers can cause headaches that are themselves caused by the painkiller.Talk to your doctor to prevent your headaches from becoming chronic.
- Habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage.The risk increases when several painkillers are combined or when a single painkiller contains multiple active ingredients.
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma, or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever: This medication may trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction.Therefore, consult your doctor before use.
- Caution if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Drug interactions are possible.Therefore, you should always inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are currently taking before starting treatment with a new medication.This also applies to medications you buy yourself, use only occasionally, or whose use was some time ago.
- Alcohol consumption should be avoided as much as possible during long-term treatment .Occasional consumption of small amounts of alcohol is permitted, but not while taking the medication.
