Karex Toothpaste Gel with BioHAP^*

Karex Toothpaste Gel contains the tooth-related active ingredient BioHAP^*. This stands for "Biomimetic Hydroxyapatite" – the substance from which our teeth are made.

The high-dose gel supports caries prevention by forming a protective layer on the tooth. This makes it difficult for bacteria to adhere to the tooth, thus effectively protecting against cavities.

The gel promotes the remineralization of tooth enamel with BioHAP^* as a calcium source.
Plaque and acidic foods remove calcium from tooth enamel.
BioHAP^* accumulates on the tooth surfaces, allowing calcium to be re-deposited into the enamel. This is called remineralization. Due to its high similarity to natural tooth mineral, BioHAP^* remineralizes even deeper layers of tooth enamel.
Due to its similarity to the body's own tooth mineral, BioHAP^* is safe if swallowed and is therefore suitable from the first tooth onwards.

+ Xylitol: This ingredient also works against bacteria and plaque.
The effectiveness of BioHAP^* in dental care has been proven in scientific studies.

In addition to caries prevention after brushing, Karex Tooth Protection Gel is suitable for other applications, e.g. E.g., for:
• Patients with multi-band therapy (bracket patients): Due to the orthodontic appliances, patients often have difficulty completely removing plaque, and thus have an increased risk of caries (white spot lesions).
• MIH (chalky teeth): Teeth with MIH (molar-incisor hypomineralization) do not have fully mineralized enamel. Additional regular remineralization is important to protect the tooth and prevent sensitivity. BioHAP^* deposits itself on the teeth and tooth necks, thus also helping with sensitive teeth.
• Sensitivity: During a bleaching treatment, the teeth are whitened with peroxides. This can result in sensitive teeth. The Karex Toothpaste Gel with BioHAP^* reduces this sensitivity.

How should the Karex Toothpaste Gel be used?
The toothpaste gel is suitable for children and adults from the first tooth onwards and is applied to the teeth daily after brushing with a finger or toothbrush. The application can be repeated as needed. Please note: The gel does not replace daily brushing, but should be used in addition.

Expert tip:
The longer the toothpaste gel is left on, the more effectively the tooth enamel can be remineralized. Therefore, it is recommended to apply the gel in the evening after brushing your teeth and leave it on overnight. This allows for optimal effectiveness.
