Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine for diarrhea (anti -diarrhoic) and an antidote (anti -dot) for poisoning.
• It is used:
  • to prevent the intake in the body in acute oral poisoning and overdose medicinal products.
  • to accelerate the excretion for poisoning with substances that can pass from the intestine into the liver (e.g. carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenylbutazon, theophyllin).
  • for symptomatic treatment of diarrhea in adults; In infants and children only according to medical instruction.
• If you do not feel better or worse in the event of diarrhea after 2 - 3 days, please contact your doctor.

  • After giving very high doses, the mechanical ileus (intestinal obstruction) can occur in individual cases, which can be prevented by the administration of salinic laxatives (laxies).

  • Medical coal does not work for poisoning with the following substances: lithium, thallium, iron salts, hydrocyanic acid, boronacid, methanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol. Other measures to remove poison (e.g. provoked vomiting, gastric flushing) are displayed here.
  • Medical coal is not effective in burns with acids or alkalis and can make subsequent endoscopic diagnostics more difficult.

Miscellaneous

- Since medical coal is excreted unchanged, the feces turns black.
- Medical coal does not work for poisoning with lithium, thallium, iron salts, hydrocyanic acid, boric acid, DDT, TOLBUTAMID, methanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol.
- Medical coal is not effective in burns with acids or alkalis.
- After the agreement of medical coal, laxies must be carried out.
