Field of use

• The medicine is a laxative.
• The preparation is used

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against bisacodyl or one of the other components of the preparation

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is
  • Adults and children over six years
    • 1 Suppositories are inserted into the rectum for rapid intestinal emptying.
    • The dose should not exceed 0.3 mg bisacodyyl per kilogram of body mass.
    • The activity occurs after 10 to 30 minutes.

 

• Duration of the application
  • A longer application of the drug should not be carried out without medical instruction.
  • Any application of the preparation that goes beyond a short -term application leads to intensification of intestinal inert.
  • In the event of chronic constipation, the doctor should be consulted.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

  • Do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

Taking

• The suppositories are inserted into the rectum.

Hints

- The taking of laxatives should only take place in the event of constipation.

- In general, treatment with bisacodyl is only recommended if long-term measures such as changing nutrition (ballast and source-rich food as well as sufficient fluid intake) and the lifestyle (e.g. sufficient physical exercise) cannot be achieved or not sufficient success.

- The long -term application of the drug often leads to intensification of intestinal inertia.
- In the case of long -term or high -dose use, there is often increased losses of water, potassium and other salts. This can lead to disorders of heart function and muscle weakness, especially when taking pharmaceuticals for drainage and adrenal hormones.

- In the event of chronic constipation, the cause should be clarified by a doctor.
