Field of use

• The preparation is an ointment with corneal -soft effect.
• The preparation is used to abuse horn cells, e.g. B. in psoriasis (psoriasis) of the hairy head and head dandruff.

Contradictions

• The preparation must not be used
  • if they are hypersensitive to salicylic acid or one of the other components of this medicine.
  • The preparation must not be used for infants.

dosage

• Always apply the preparation exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Apply the medicine to the sick scalp once a day. The maximum daily dose for adults is 2 g salicylic acid (corresponds to approx. 67 g ointment) or for children 0.2 g salicylic acid (corresponds to approx. 7 g ointment).
  • To use the preparation, gradually chop your hair at different points, apply the preparation to the scalp (on the parting) and rub it in.
  • Then adults leave the preparation for 8 - 12 hours overnight.
  • Then the ointment can be washed out with a mild shampoo.
  • In children, the exposure time can be correspondingly shorter, although it is recommended for 2 - 6 hours depending on their age. It is important to ensure that the daily dose of approx. 7 g ointment (relaxing 0.2 g salicylic acid) must not be exceeded.
• The daily maximum dose for adults of 2 g salicylic acid (corresponds to approx. 67 g ointment) or for children of 0.2 g salicylic acid (corresponds approx. 7 g ointment) must not be used for more than a week. The treating doctor decides on the exact duration of the application.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Overdoses are generally not to be expected when used. Skin irritation can occur locally. In the case of symptoms that occur, the discontinuation and removal of the preparation are sufficient as countermeasures.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of the preparation
  • The effectiveness is only guaranteed by regular use. Get a forgotten application as soon as possible and keep your old application scheme! Please also ask your treating doctor.

 

• If you cancel the application
  • If you cancel the treatment too early, this can endanger the success of the treatment. Use the preparation as long as prescribed by the doctor.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

Patient information

• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
• Special care in the application is required,
  • if you suffer from restricted kidney function (renal failure): Here the preparation should only be used in exceptional cases (treated body surface max. 10 cm²) for more than three days.
  • Do not let the preparation come into contact with mucous membranes. Avoid contact with the eyes. You should accidentally remove the scarves applied there, e.g. B. with plenty of water.
  • In the case of skin diseases that are associated with redness and inflammation (e.g. psoriatic erythroderma) or with superficial changes in the skin, the permeability of the skin for salicylic acid can be increased.
  • Do not bring the preparation into contact with varnish or plastic (e.g. furniture, glasses, etc.), since these objects may become matt.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
• Pregnancy:
  • The preparation should not be used during pregnancy.
• Still -time:
  • Avoid the contact of your treated head with the infant because it could accidentally take on salicylic acid.

Miscellaneous

- If the kidney function is reduced, no large -scale and longer use should be carried out over several weeks.
