Instructions for use for MANUKALIND Wound healing spray, 30 ml

ManukaLind Wound Healing Spray (30ml)

• The new wound healing spray with Manuka honey
• Can be applied evenly over a large area to the wound without touching it
• The innovative packaging makes it possible to spray the spray overhead

Application Notes
• Can be sprayed on several times a day as needed to care for wounds.
• If necessary, carefully clean the edges of the wound.
• Spray generously onto the wound from a distance of 10 cm. It is important to ensure that there is full contact between the layer and the wound bed. Avoid direct contact between spray head and wound.
• A suitable sterile dressing may be used to cover the treated wound.
• If interactive dressings are used (e.g. polyfoam or hydrocolloids), it must be ensured that they do not contain any active ingredients, as there is no experience of compatibility with ManukaLind.
• The wound dressing should be changed when it is saturated with wound secretion (exudate) or when the covering dressing lets wound secretion through.
• When removing/changing the bandage, rinse/clean the wound with water if necessary and spray ManukaLind on again.
• The currently valid guidelines for hygiene and infection prevention must be observed when treating wounds / changing bandages. This includes at least thorough hand disinfection, the use of sterile disposable gloves and mouth and nose protection.

Areas of application / indications
ManukaLind can be used on skin irritations and wounds. These include: Acute and chronic wounds and ulcers, infected wounds, surgical wounds, surgical wounds, burns (grade I and II) and scalds, necrotic wounds, diabetic wounds, coated wounds, decubitus, poorly healing wounds, cuts and abrasions, superficial wounds , Scar care for sewn wounds, bite wounds, skin irritations, foot and leg ulcers (venous, arterial).

Contraindications
• Do not use in patients with known allergies to bee products (e.g. honey, pollen, propolis, etc.) and lavender oil.
• Do not use on heavily exuding wounds, third degree burns, in deep narrow cavities/wound spaces or in the sinuses.
• ManukaLind is not suitable for use on children under 12 months and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
• There have been no reports of increased blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes after using the spray as the product is not absorbed. Nevertheless, diabetics should consult their doctor before using ManukaLind.

Precautions and Warnings
• Do not bring the spray head into direct contact with the wound. Use one spray for one patient.
• In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly.
• There may be a slight burning or pulling sensation after application. If symptoms persist, remove the bandage, rinse the wound with water and consult your doctor if necessary.
• In the event of an allergic reaction, stop treatment immediately and contact your doctor.
• If the desired effect is not achieved within 3 weeks, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

ManukaLind is suitable for the treatment of wounds and skin irritations in all stages of wound healing. The unique composition of ManukaLind products is based on the New Zealand phenomenon of Manuka honey. This is obtained in New Zealand by honey bees from South Sea myrtle (Leptospermum scoparium - or Manuka bush) and has been used there as a remedy for many generations. It has strong antibacterial and cell-renewing properties and thus promotes wound healing under optimally moist conditions of the wound environment.

ManukaLind contains Manuka honey with a particularly high proportion of methylglyoxal (MGO 514+), a sugar breakdown product that is present in concentrations that are up to 100 times higher than in conventional types of honey.
