The serum's main active ingredient, retinal, belongs to the group of retinoids – a scientifically studied class of substances within the vitamin A derivatives.Vitamin A has been established in skin care for many years.The term "vitamin A" encompasses various substances from the retinoid group, namely retinyl palmitate, retinol, retinal, and retinoic acid.Since only retinoic acid is biologically active in the skin, the other substances must first be converted into retinoic acid. The following applies: The fewer conversion steps to retinoic acid are necessary, the more effective the effect in the skin.Retinal is the direct precursor to retinoic acid, meaning only a single conversion step is necessary.Products containing retinal are considered particularly effective due to their rapid & effective conversion to retinoic acid and are used in cosmetics, particularly to improve skin structure and reduce the depth of wrinkles.

The serum is complemented by a hyaluronic acid complex consisting of short-, long-chain, and cross-linked molecules, as well as glycerin for intensive hydration.Panthenol soothes the skin, while vitamin E supports the skin barrier and has an antioxidant effect.Nourishing almond oil ensures a smooth skin feel.The Retinal Intensive Serum with 0.1% retinal represents the next stage of the dermatologically formulated retinal system care from medipharma cosmetics.It was specially developed for the advanced phase after familiarization with the 0.05% Retinal Serum and contains a higher concentration of pure, naturally encapsulated retinal – for even more intensive results.Retinal not only supports the skin in regeneration and wrinkle reduction, but also regulates melanin production.This makes it effective for both blemish-prone skin and those with age-related pigmentation disorders.

Instructions for use
Apply serum in the evening.If you have not previously used products containing retinal, we recommend a gradual introduction due to its intensive care effect.Initially, use the product 1–2 times a week for approximately 2 weeks, then increase to daily use.Do not use more than once daily.Apply a day cream containing LSF the next morning.We recommend the PROTECT Facial Fluid LSF 50+ as an ideal complement.Contains vitamin A. Consider your daily intake before use.
