In order to maintain a moist wound milieu, Mepilex Transfer enables the vertical drain of exudate into a secondary suction association. In this way, the risk of maceration is minimized. In order to continue to minimize this risk, the Safetac layer also seals the wound edges and thus prevents exudate from getting to the wound-surrounding skin.

When is Mepilex Transfer to be used?
Mepilex Transfer is intended for use for a variety of slightly to strongly exuding wounds, including ex -triggering tumor wounds, epidermolysis bullosa (eb), skin withdrawal and venous leg ulcers. Mepilex Transfer enables the drain of exudate to a secondary suction association, such as Mesorb or Mextra Superabsorbent. The Safetac® technology seals the wound edges and minimizes the maceration risk of the wound -surrounding skin. This also ensures fewer injuries to the wound and the skin when changing the association. Mepilex Transfer can be tailored for different wound shapes and body areas. Safetac is a patented detention technology. It reduces the pain for the patient and minimizes traumatization of the wound and wound -surrounding skin.

 

 

Use of Mepilex Transfer
- For moderately to strongly exuding wounds.
- For exulziering tumor wounds, epidermolysis bullosa (eb), skin removal points and venous leg ulcers.
- Can also be used as protection on non -exuding wounds and/or large fragile skin areas.
