• What is Mometadex nasal spray (pack size: 10 g)?
  • MOMETADEX nasal spray (pack size: 10 g) contains mometasonfuroat, an active ingredient from the group of corticosteroids. If Mometasonfuroat is sprayed into the nose, this can help to alleviate inflammation (swelling and irritation of the nose), sneezing, itching and a clogged or running nose.
• What is this nasal spray used for?
  • Mometadex nasal spray (pack size: 10 g) is used in adults to treat the symptoms of a hay fever (also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis), provided that the first diagnosis of the hay fever has been carried out by a doctor.
  • Hay fever that occurs at certain times a year is an allergic reaction caused by the inhalation of pollen of trees, grasses, weeds or mold and fungal spores. Mometadex nasal spray (pack size: 10 g) reduces the swelling and irritation in your nose and thus relieves sneeze caused by hay fever, itching and a clogged or running nose.

Contradictions

• Mometadex nasal spray (pack size: 10 g) must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to Mometasonfuroat or one of the other components of this medicine.
  • with an untreated infection in the nose. The use of this nasal spray during ahe untreated infection in the nose, e.g. B. Herpes, the infection can worsen. You should wait until the infection has subsided before you start using the nasal spray.
  • with a recent surgery on the nose or a nose injury. You should only start using the nasal spray when your nose has healed.

dosage

Application recommendation of Mometadex nasal spray (pack size: 10 g):

• The recommended dose is once two sprays in each nasal opening.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this nasal spray,
    • if you have tuberculosis or have in the past.
    • if you have a different infection.
    • if you apply other corticosteroid -containing medicines, both for taking and injection.
    • if you have cystic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis).
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist while using this preparation,
    • if your immune system does not work properly (if you have problems with the defense against infection) and you come into contact with people who have measles or chickenpox. You should avoid contact with people who have these infections.
    • if you have an infection of the nose or throat.
    • if you apply the medicine over several months or more.
    • if you have a constant irritation of the nose or throat.
    • Contact your doctor if you see blurry seeing or other visual disturbances occur.
  • If corticosteroid nasal sprays are used in high doses for a long time, side effects can occur through the medicinal product absorbed in the body.
  • If your eyes are itchy or irritated, your doctor can recommend that you use other treatment methods together with this nasal spray.
  • Children and adolescents
    • The drug must not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18.

 

• Wateriness and ability to use machines
  • There is no information on the effects of the preparation on traffic and the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
