Field of use

• The ointment is a means of treating fungal infections (antifungal).
• It is used to relieve symptoms of yeast piling infections of the skin (Candida Spp. And other e.g. perianal and genital mycosis).

Contradictions

• The ointment must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to Nystatin, other polyen antibiotics or one of the other components of this drug.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The usual dose is:
  • The ointment must be applied to the affected skin districts one to several times a day.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The treatment should be continued until the healing is completely healed.
  • Do not apply Nystatin without medical advice for more than 7 days.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Basically, you should apply the ointment thinly and only use as long as necessary for complete healing or recommended by the doctor or pharmacist, but no special measures are to be taken if you have accidentally used the medicine too often.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of Nystatin
  • Do not apply twice the amount if you have forgotten the previous application.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the ointment.
  • If NYSTATIN and LATEX products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms) are used at the same time, functional impairment and thus impairing security can occur.
  • Due to the high osmolarity of nystatin, the application is advised against very underweight and immature premature babies.
  • Older patients
    • Since nystatin is practically not absorbed through the skin, no restrictions are known for older people when using it on the skin.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • There are no special precautions required.

 

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• Nystatin, the active ingredient in the ointment, is hardly absorbed in therapeutic dose after oral gift, over the intact skin or over the mucous membranes. The placenta barrier does not happen, and a transfer to breast milk is also not toowait.
• Nystatin can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Miscellaneous

- In the case of fungal infections, all diseased areas must be treated to prevent renewed diseases that work from other mushroom herds.
- The treatment must be carried out long enough to prevent relapses (at least one week, an average of 2-4 weeks, even longer if necessary).
