Muni ^® 0.5% HC Cream

Active substance: Composition: 1 g cream contains 5 mg hydrocortisone.
Excipients: Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate, Octyldodecanol, Hard Fat, Purified Water.

Areas of application: Muni ^® 0.5% HC is a cream for use on the skin with inflammatory and allergic skin diseases.
Muni ^® 0.5% HC is used for inflammatory and allergic skin diseases with few symptoms that respond to external therapy with weakly effective corticosteroids (max. 2 weeks).

Contraindications:
Muni ^® 0.5% HC should not be used if you:

- are hypersensitive (allergic) to hydrocortisone or any of the other ingredients of Muni ^® 0.5% HC,

- for chickenpox and vaccination reactions, - for syphilitic or tuberculous skin diseases,

- in the case of a simultaneous skin infection by bacteria or fungi, this must be treated separately,

- certain skin inflammations in the area of the mouth (perioral dermatitis) or face (rosacea) accompanied by redness and/or nodule formation,

- during the first trimester of pregnancy. In addition, Muni ^® 0.5% HC must not be used on or in the eye.

Particular caution is required when using Muni ^® 0.5% HC in children. Children up to the age of 6 may only be treated if prescribed by a doctor. Pregnancy and lactation: Muni ^® 0.5% HC must not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy. In later stages of pregnancy, Muni ^® 0.5% HC may only be used after a careful risk/benefit assessment by the attending physician. In particular, extensive or long-term use and occlusive dressings should be avoided during pregnancy. The active ingredient contained in Muni ^® 0.5% HC passes into breast milk. You should stop breastfeeding if you use it over a large area or for a longer period of time. Contact of the infant with the treated skin areas should be avoided.

Side effects: Burning, itching, a feeling of tension in hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or one of the other ingredients can occur. In the case of prolonged use prescribed by the doctor (more than 2 weeks), attention should be paid to whether the skin becomes thinner (skin atrophy), whether tiny bleeding (telangiectasias) or skin strips due to damage to the elastic fibers (striae) or whether acne-like symptoms (steroid acne) occur ) appear. In this case, inform your doctor.

Warnings: Propylene Glycol may cause skin irritation.

Dosage, application: For short-term use on the skin (maximum two weeks) in adults and children from 6 years of age. The duration of treatment depends on the success of the therapy. A treatment duration of more than two weeks may only take place with medical supervision. Unless otherwise prescribed, Muni ^® 0.5% HC is applied thinly to the affected area 2 - 3 times a day and rubbed in gently. After the improvement has occurred, Muni ^® 0.5% HC usually only needs to be used once a day or every 2nd or 3rd day. Even after the symptoms have subsided, Muni ^® 0.5% HC should be used for a few more days to prevent the disease from flaring up again. When used on the face, make sure that Muni ^® 0.5% HC does not get into the eyes.
