How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient comes into contact with special binding sites in the body, the so-called 5HT-1 receptors. This contact triggers the following reactions: the blood vessels that dilate during a migraine contract again, and the release of certain neurotransmitters that trigger pain and inflammation is stopped.

What are the contraindications?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- History of heart attack
- Coronary heart disease (impaired blood flow to the heart muscle)
- Prinzmetal's angina (a specific form of angina pectoris)
- Peripheral circulatory disorders (e.g., arms, legs)
- History of stroke
- Circulatory disorders in the brain region, including a history of a stroke (transient ischemic attack)
- High blood pressure
- Impaired liver function
- Impaired kidney function

In certain circumstances - consult your doctor or pharmacist:
- Specific forms of migraine (without headache) such as:
- Familial hemiplegic migraine (long aura phase, during which hemiplegia can occur)
- Basilar migraine (severe dizziness, speech and vision disturbances)
- Ophthalmic migraine (disorder of the eye muscles)
- Possible risk of vasoconstriction in the heart, such as:
- Smoking
- Nicotine replacement therapy
- Increased blood fat concentration (especially cholesterol) in menopausal women and men over 40
- Obesity in menopausal women and men over 40
- Diabetes mellitus (diabetes) in menopausal women and men over 40

Which age group is What should I consider?
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: This medicine must not be used.
- Elderly patients aged 65 and over: The medicine should generally not be used in this age group.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?

What should you be aware of?
- Your ability to react may be impaired even when used as directed, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Be especially careful when driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could cause injury.
- Long-term use of painkillers may cause headaches caused by the painkiller itself. Talk to your doctor to prevent your headaches from becoming chronic.
- Be careful if you are allergic to sulfonamides!
- Be careful if you are allergic to binding agents (e.g., carboxymethylcellulose with the E number E 466)!
- Caution if you are allergic to dyes (e.g., indigo carmine with E number E 132)!
- Caution if you are lactose intolerant. If you must follow a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be interactions with certain medications. Area of application

Naratriptan Adgc For Migraine 2.5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 2 tablets) is used to treat acute migraine headaches in adults between 18 and 65 years of age after initial medical diagnosis of migraine.

Mode of action

The active ingredient, naratriptan, constricts blood vessels and thus specifically treats the symptoms of migraine, which can be caused by the temporary, painful dilation of blood vessels in the head. This, in turn, not only helps relieve the acute headaches but also the accompanying symptoms of a migraine attack, such as nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and noise.

Active ingredients / Ingredients

Ingredients of Naratriptan Adgc for Migraine 2.5 mg Film-coated Tablets (Pack size: 2 pcs) :

The active ingredient is naratriptan.
Each film-coated tablet contains: 2.5 mg naratriptan (as naratriptan hydrochloride).
The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, and magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich]. Film-coating: Hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), triacetin, iron oxide yellow (E172), indigo carmine aluminum lake (E132).

Dosage

Recommended use of Naratriptan Adgc For Migraine 2.5 mg Film-coated Tablets (Pack size: 2 tablets):

Adults aged 18 to 65 years should take one tablet whole with plenty of water for migraine.
If your symptoms begin to recur, you can take a second tablet after at least 4 hours, unless you have kidney or liver disease.
If you have kidney or liver disease, do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.
You should never take more than two tablets in 24 hours.
If the first tablet does not work, do not take a second tablet for the same attack.

Naratriptan Adgc For Migraine 2.5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 2 tablets) should only be taken when the migraine headache begins. Although they can be taken at any stage of an attack, it is best to take Naratriptan Adgc For Migraine 2.5 mg Film-coated Tablets (Pack Size: 2 pcs) as soon as you feel the first signs of a migraine.

Do not take Naratriptan Adgc For Migraine 2.5 mg Film-coated Tablets (Pack Size: 2 pcs) to prevent a migraine attack.
