Field of use

Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pcs) can be used to acute treatment of headache phases of migraine attacks.

Mode of action

Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pc) is a medicine with naratriptan (as a naratriptanhydrochloride), which belongs to the medicinal product group of the so-called tripane (also known as 5-HT1 receptor agonists). Naratriptan leads to a collapse (contraction) of the blood vessels. In addition, experimental studies show that Naratriptan inhibits the activity of the trigeminal nerve.

Ingredients of Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pcs)

1 film -coated tablet contains 2.5 mg naratriptan as naratriptan hydrochloride.

Other components: microcrystalline cellulose, hyprolose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph. EUR.) [pflanzlich], Maltodextrin, pre-clad strength (corn), high-disperse silicon dioxide.

Contradictions

Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pcs) is not recommended for children under the age of 18 or adults for over 65 years.

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, with dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with bark formation and in children under 6 years Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 STK) should not be used. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, when taking mood-enhancing medicinal products or other potentially blood pressure-enhancing medicines, increased intraocular pressure, heavy cardiovascular diseases, a hormone-producing tumor of the adrenal cord and in the case of metabolic disorders, naratriptan al acute (pack size: 2: 2 STK) to consult a doctor. Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pc) should not be used for more than 5 days and in children under 6 years.

Application recommendation of Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pcs):

Naratriptan al acute 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pcs) should be used by adults as early as possible after the migraine headache occurs. The usual dose is 1 film -coated tablet. If an improvement occurs after the first intake, another tablet can be taken after four hours at the earliest. If there is no improvement after the first dose, the second dose should be avoided for the same attack.
High dose within 24 hours: two tablets.

Taking

• The usual dose for adults between the ages of 18 and 65 is a film -coated tablet, taken as a whole with water.

Warnings and Precautions
Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.
If you have certain other risk factors if you are a strong smoker or if you undergo nicotine replacement therapy, and especially if you are a man over 40 years, or if you are a woman after menopause (menopause).

In very rare cases, serious heart problems occurred in patients after taking it without previously there were signs of heart disease.

If you are allergic to so-called sulfonamide antibiotics.

If you take medication for depression, so-called SSRIS (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) or Snris (serotonin noradrenalin reuptake inhibitors), inform your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.

Wateriness and operating machines

Pregnancy

Pregnancy: If you are pregnant or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before taking this drug.
