Field of use

Nasodirect nasal spray with captomucil (pack size: 20 ml) helps with the treatment of respiratory diseases, which are associated with increased mucus formation, e.g. in the event of a cold, runny nose, which can go hand in hand with acute or chronic rhinosinusitis, or allergic rhinitis.

Mode of action

Muzin is a protein that naturally occurs in human mucus. However, overproduction can lead to a solidification of the mucus and thus to block the nose. If Captomucil® is brought into contact with certain amounts of Muzin, it is able to reduce the viscosity of the excess mucus and to promote a quick and effective drainage of the mucus. Specific studies carried out by the manufacturer have shown that the mucus-proof effect of captomucil® takes place within 30 seconds (at the University of Münster). The hypertone solution increases the decongestant effect of captomucil® by further increasing the flow properties of the excess mucus

Nasodirect nasal spray with captomucil (pack size: 20 ml) contains: Captomucil®, water, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, mint aroma, dexpanthenol, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoat.

dosage

Application recommendation of Nasodirect nasal spray with captomucil (pack size: 20 ml): Adults and children > 12 years: 1-2 sprays per nostril, 3-4 times a day. Children from 6 to 12 years: 1–2 sprays per nostril, up to 2 times a day. In children under the age of 12, use the product only after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.
