Nicotinell Lozenges 1mg Mint

Active ingredient: nicotine

Application areas:
To support smoking cessation in nicotine dependence by relieving nicotine withdrawal symptoms including craving or temporarily reducing cigarette consumption in smokers motivated to quit. Ultimately, the goal is to quit smoking permanently. The 2 mg strength is suitable for severe withdrawal symptoms. Counseling and patient care usually increase success rates.

The appropriate dosage depends on your previous smoking habits.

Nicotinell Lozenges 1mg is recommended for smokers with mild to moderate nicotine dependence (less than 20 cigarettes per day).

In the case of strong to very strong dependency (more than 30 cigarettes per day), the 2 mg lozenge is preferable. If you have smoked between 20 and 30 cigarettes per day, both the low (1 mg) and the high (2 mg) dosage are possible - depending on your individual characteristics and preferences.

Tips for using Nicotinell lozenges
The correct sucking technique is required when using the Nicotinell lozenges. The principle is:
Suck - Park - Suck.

And this is how it works:
Suck one lozenge until You notice a strong "peppery" taste. “Park” lozenge between cheeks and gums until flavor fades. Suck again until the strong flavor develops. Then pause again. Repeat this process for about 30 minutes until the lozenge has completely dissolved.

Proper use of Nicotinell Lozenges is very important to get the maximum benefit. Make sure you take the sucking breaks mentioned. Otherwise, more nicotine will be released than can be absorbed through the oral mucosa, reducing effectiveness. If you experience a sore throat, a burning sensation in your stomach, hiccups or bloating, sucking more slowly will usually eliminate this problem.

Combination therapy
If monotherapy has so far been unsuccessful or insufficient, combination therapy is an option: The Nicotinell 1 mg lozenge is used in addition to the Nicotinell 24-hour patch if you stop smoking immediately.

The maximum daily dose of 64 mg in total (patch + lozenge or chewing gum) must not be exceeded.
