Instructions for Use

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (from 40 kg body weight)

1 Capsule

1-3 times daily

at 6-hour intervals, regardless of meals

Mechanism of Action

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient belongs to a group of substances that are effective against pain and inflammation and can reduce fever.All three effects are primarily based on the inhibition of a naturally occurring substance called prostaglandin.This substance acts as a messenger and must be present for pain to be perceived, inflammatory reactions to be triggered, or body temperature to rise.

ContraindicationsWhat are the contraindications?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Gastrointestinal bleeding, including a history of such bleeding
- Gastrointestinal perforation, including a history of perforation associated with the use of certain drugs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/NSAIDs)
- Digestive ulcers, including a history of such ulcers
- Severely impaired liver function
- Severely impaired kidney function
- Severe heart failure
- Active bleeding, such as:
- Cerebral hemorrhage
- Blood disorders
- Severe dehydration

Under certain circumstances - consult your doctor or pharmacist:
- Gastrointestinal problems
- Inflammatory bowel diseases, including a history of such diseases, such as:
- Crohn's disease
- Ulcerative colitis
- Blood clotting disorder
- High blood pressure
- Coronary artery disease (impaired blood flow to the heart muscle)
- Cerebral vascular disease
- Peripheral circulatory disorders (e.g., arms, legs)
- Potential risk of coronary artery narrowing, such as:
- Elevated blood lipid levels
- Diabetes mellitus
- Smoking
- Collagenoses (diseases in connective tissue), such as:
- Lupus erythematosus
- Mixed connective tissue disease(Inflammatory rheumatic collagenosis)
- Porphyria (metabolic disorder)
- Recent major surgery
- Chickenpox
- Heart failure
- Impaired kidney function
- Impaired liver function

Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 12 years: This medicine should generally not be used in this age group.There are preparations that are more suitable in terms of strength and/or dosage form.
- Children and adults weighing less than 40 kg: This medicine should generally not be used in this age group.
- Elderly patients: Treatment should be carefully coordinated with your doctor and closely monitored, e.g., through frequent check-ups. The desired effects and unwanted side effects of the medication may be intensified or weakened in this group.

- Digestive problems caused by medication
- Nausea

- Gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining)
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, which can also perforate
- Inflammation of the oral mucosa
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Insomnia
- Fatigue
- Irritability
- Agitation
- Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as:
- Skin rash
- Itching
- Episodes of shortness of breath
- Asthma attack, possibly with a drop in blood pressure
- Visual disturbances; if this occurs, please consult a doctor immediately
- Worsening of a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis)

What should you consider?
- Reaction time may be impaired even when used as directed, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Pay particular attention to this if you are participating in road traffic or operating machinery (including household appliances) with which you could injure yourself.
- Do not use for pain or fever for longer than specified in the package leaflet without consulting a doctor!
- With prolonged use of painkillers, headaches may occur that are caused by the painkiller.Talk to your doctor to prevent your headaches from becoming chronic.
- The habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage.The risk increases if several painkillers are combined, or if a painkiller contains several active ingredients.
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma, or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever: This medicine may trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction in you.Therefore, consult your doctor before use.
- Caution if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Caution if you are allergic to dyes (e.g., tartrazine (E 102), sunset yellow FCF (E 110), azorubine (E 122), amaranth (E 123), and Ponceau 4R (E 124)).
- Caution should be exercised in case of fructose intolerance (fruit sugar).If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
