Instructions for use

How should it be used?
Apply the medicine to the affected area(s) of skin.

Indications

There are various pathogens that can cause illness. Only a doctor can determine whether the medicine is effective against the infection.

- Fungal infections, especially yeast infections, which are accompanied by inflammation, such as:

- Fungal infections of the skin

- Fungal infections of the mucous membranes

- Fungal infections in the folds of the body, e.g., soreness under the breasts, on the buttocks, between the thighs

- Fungal infections between the toes or fingers (interdigital mycosis)

- Soreness caused by mechanical stimuli (skin irritation), such as friction

- Inflammations in the genital and anal area, such as:

- Diaper dermatitis (skin inflammation under a diaper)

Mode of action

How do the ingredients of the medicine work?

Nystatin: The active ingredient damages the outer covering, the so-called cell membrane, of fungi. This membrane thus loses some of its functions, cell components leak out, and the cell can dissolve. Depending on the active ingredient concentration, the fungi are inhibited in their growth and reproduction or are killed outright.

Zinc oxide: Zinc oxide acts on the skin against pathogens and inflammation and promotes wound healing. It also binds moisture to the skin (e.g., in weeping, moist skin areas in body folds), thereby preventing further softening and thus the possible penetration of pathogens.

Nystatin Holsten Soft Paste
with nystatin 100,000 IU and zinc oxide 200 mg for cutaneous application.

For use in nystatin-sensitive fungal skin infections such as diaper dermatitis, which primarily affect the folds of the body (between the fingers or toes, groin, perineal region, and below the breasts).
