Areas of Use

Instructions for Use
- apply octenilin Wound Gel directly to the wound surface
- a 3–5 mm thick gel layer is sufficient, depending on the wound situation
- Coverage is provided by a secondary dressing
- Protect the wound edge from maceration, e.g. E.g., using a skin protection cream or film dressing
- Dressing changes every 1–3 days depending on the wound situation

Area of Use
Octenilin Wound Gel (pack size: 250 ml) covers, moisturizes, and cleanses coated, contaminated, and chronic skin wounds, as well as burn wounds.Octenilin wound gel (pack size: 250 ml) dissolves wound coatings, necrotic tissue and biofilm. Thanks to an ideal wound healing environment, Octenilin Wound Gel (pack size: 250 ml) supports the natural wound healing process.
Active ingredients / Ingredients
Octenilin Wound Gel (pack size: 250 ml) contains:
Aqua purificata, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Octenidine HCI.
Contraindications
This product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the above-mentioned ingredients.
Dosage
Recommended use of Octenilin Wound Gel (pack size: 250 ml):
First, thoroughly rinse and clean the wound (e.g., with octenilin® wound irrigation solution) to remove easily removable deposits. You can then treat the wound with Octenilin Wound Gel (pack size: 250 ml) and, if necessary, cover and bandage it with compresses, gauze, or compresses. You can leave the wound gel on the wound until the next dressing change. The frequency of dressing changes depends on the nature of the wound and the amount of exudate and should be adapted to the specific wound situation, but should be done after a maximum of 3 days. Change the dressing and cleanse the wound daily in combination with greasy gauze. The application should be repeated until all deposits can be removed and the wound is visually clean.
Patient Information
To prevent possible tissue damage, Octenilin Wound Gel (pack size: 250 ml) must not be used on hyaline cartilage, the eye, the ear, the nose, the bladder, or the abdominal cavity!
