Field of use

Octenisept Vaginal therapy (package size: 50 ml) is an antiseptic for the treatment of vaginal infections. Relief of symptoms in bacterial itching, burning and discharge in the vaginal area.

Vaginal infections are most often caused by bacteria or fungi. The symptoms resulting from this are very similar and often very difficult to distinguish. The symptoms include:

dosage

Octenisept Vaginal therapy (package size: 50 ml) is used twice a day, morning and evening on the first day of treatment. In the following six days it is sufficient to use Octenisept Vaginal therapy (package size: 50 ml) once a day.

Insert the vaginal applicator deep into the vagina and press down the spray cap of the applicator ten times in a row.
It is recommended to insert the applicator on the toilet or lying deep into the vagina in bed. After use, the applicator should be wiped off externally.

Tips for intimate hygiene
Wash the intimate area every day with lukewarm water.
Wash washcloths and underwear after one time at 60 °.
Do not use shower gel or the like-only pH-neutral products.
In the event of burning, redness and itching in the genital area, consult a doctor.

Taking

• Unless otherwise prescribed, insert the vaginal applicator on the first day of treatment in the morning and evening, then once a day in the evening and press down the spray cap of the applicator ten times in a row.
• Peel the protective and spray cap off the bottle before the first application and keep it safely, then remove the applicator out of the case and put it on the pharmaceutical bottle.
• It is recommended to insert the applicator on the toilet deep into the vagina.
• After that, the spray cap of the applicator must be pushed down ten times in a row.
• Spray somewhat preparation after use with the applicator directed downwards, e.g. B. above the sink. Subsequently, rinse the applicator under running water and dry it with a clean cloth.
• The cleaning described above must be repeated before another application.
• The partner should be included in the treatment to prevent renewed infection. For this purpose, the medicine without an applicator with a spray cap on the male genital must be sprayed until full wetting.
• In order to achieve the desired effect, these requirements must be observed carefully.

  • Please speak to your doctor, pharmacist or the medical staff before using the medicine.
  • Do not swallow the medicine in larger quantities or into the bloodstream, e.g. B. by accidental injection.
  • The application of the drug in the eye must be avoided. With accidental eye contact, rinse with lots of water immediately.
  • Children
    • There is still no sufficient experiences for use in children under 8 years.

Pregnancy

  • Current experiences with pregnant women do not indicate a risk.
• Breastfeeding
  • There are no sufficient animal experimental and clinical data for use during breastfeeding. Since Octenidindihydrochloride is not or only absorbed in the lowest quantities, it can be assumed that it does not go into breast milk.
  • Phenoxyethanol is quickly and practically completely absorbed and almost quantitatively excreted as an oxidation product via the kidneys. A approachng in breast milk is therefore unlikely.

Hints

The partner should be included in the treatment to prevent renewed infection. For this purpose, the preparation without an applicator with a spray cap on the male genital is to be sprayed until it is fully wetted. If the symptoms remain, a gynecological examination is required.
