Adolescents aged 16 and over (50 kg body weight or more) and adults

2 Capsules

1-3 times daily

at intervals of 4-6 hours, regardless of meals

Mode of action

How do the ingredients of the medicine work?

Paracetamol: The active ingredient has analgesic and fever-reducing effects. It also has mild anti-inflammatory properties. It blocks the production of certain messenger substances in the body, so-called prostaglandins. These play a key role in the development of pain, fever, and inflammation.

Guaifenesin: The active ingredient loosens stuck mucus in the respiratory tract and thins thick mucus. The mucus can therefore be coughed up more easily.

Phenylephrine: The active ingredient constricts the dilated veins in the mucous membranes of the nose and eyeball. This reduces excessive blood flow to the olfactory and visual organs and reduces swelling of the mucous membranes. Patients can breathe more freely through their noses; they also no longer run constantly. Annoying redness and nonspecific irritations in the eyes disappear.
The active ingredient also lowers intraocular pressure by dilating the pupil and making the trabecular meshwork (a type of drainage sieve) in the eye more permeable, creating more space for the drainage of excess aqueous humor. If the drainage of the aqueous humor is obstructed, the excess fluid causes pressure in the eye to rise, and permanent eye damage can occur.

- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
- Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)
- Narrow-angle glaucoma
- Adrenaline-producing tumor (pheochromocytoma)

Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 16 years of age: This medicine must not be used.
- Children and adolescents under 50 kg body weight: This medicine must not be used in this group.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: According to current knowledge, this medicine should not be used.
- Breastfeeding: Use is not recommended according to current knowledge. Breastfeeding may need to be considered.
