Field of use

Pancreatin STADA 20,000, 200 pcs (Package size: 200 StK) is a medicine that contains digestive substances (enzymes) from the pancreas (pancreas) from the pig.
It is used to treat digestive disorders caused by a reduced or lack of function of the pancreas. Such digestive disorders can e.g. B. as abdominal pain, flatulence, fat chair or diarrhea, as frequent stool ducts or weight loss.

Pancreas powder from the pig (pancreatin).
A capsule contains 195.2 mg.

The other components are: microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, iron oxides and hydroxides (E 172), gelatin, magnesium stearate (Ph.), Methacrylic ethyl acrylate copolymer (1: 1) dispersion 30 % (Ph. EUR.), Polysorbate 80, water, montannglycol wax, sodium dodecylsulfate, high -disperse silicon dioxide, Simeticon emulsion (contains Simeticon, methylcellulose, sorbic acid (Ph. EUR.) Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: 1 - 2 capsules for the main meals.

The dosage also depends on the fat content of the food. Your doctor can increase the recommended dose to a lot if necessary.

Taking

  • Always take this medicine during or immediately after a meal or a snack. This allows the enzymes to mix thoroughly with the food and digest them while it goes through the intestine.
• How to take the drug

  • As a whole, the capsules should be swallowed with sufficient liquid.
  • Do not crush or chew the capsules, as this can lead to irritation in the mouth or that can change the mode of action in your body.
  • If it is difficult for you to swallow the capsules, open them carefully and take the microfilm tablets contained in the unscrewed one with sufficient flöskeit.

  • Patients with cystic fibrosis
    • In patients with cystic fibrosis, a rare bowel disease called "fibrosing colonopathy" was reported when taking high-dose pancreatic powder products, in which their intestine is narrowed. Inform your doctor if you suffer from cystic fibrosis and take more than 10,000 lipase units per kilogram of body weight per day and have unusual abdominal difficulties or changes in abdominal symptoms. The dosage of lipase units is explained in the "dosage" category.
  • Severe allergic reaction
    • When an allergic reaction occurs, end your treatment and speak to your doctor. An allergic reaction could contain itching, hives or rash. In rare cases, a serious allergic reaction with a feeling of warmth, dizziness and fainting and suspicion of breathing can occur.
