The paracetamol-ratiopharm® 500 mg tablets have an effect based on the proven active ingredient paracetamol in pain and fever. Headache, tension, toothache and fever: suffering that every person usually experiences a few times in life. Strong headaches or violent muscle tension can throw you off the track and have a sustainable negative impact on everyday life. In the event of stronger, recurring or long -lasting pain and with high fever, a doctor should be consulted to clarify possible causes. However, a over-the-counter pain reliever such as the paracetamolratiopharm® 500 mg tablets can alleviate the acute pain and reduce light to moderate fever.

The active ingredient paracetamol has long since proven itself in the medical world. Today paracetamol is the most used over -the -counter pain reliever in Germany. This is mainly due to the good tolerance and the quick effect of the active ingredient. When taking occasionally and taking into account the recommended dosage, the active ingredient paracetamol is both effective and harmless to health.
The paracetamol-ratiopharm® 500 mg tablets have both pain and fever-lowering. The tablets are therefore suitable for head, tooth, control or back pain, as well as in moderate to strong fever. The active ingredient influences the temperature control center in the human brain and thus achieves a reduction in the fever. Other mechanisms of action ensure the analgesic effect.

Mode of action

The active ingredient paracetamol contained in paracetamol ratiopharm 500mg (pack size: 20 pc) has a pain relieving and fever -lowering effect that comes from brain and spinal cord. In contrast to other painkillers such as acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen, paracetamol has no anti -inflammatory effect.

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, the product should not be used. It should also not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in children under 4 years, liver diseases, meulengracht disease and kidney disease.

Single dose: 10 -15 mg/kg body weight
Total dose: a maximum of 60 mg/kg body weight

  maximum daily dose: 4 tablets (= 2000mg paracetamol)
  
• Adults and adolescents over 12 years with a body weight over 43 kg:
  Single dose: 1-2 tablets (= 500-1000mg paracetamol)
  maximum daily dose: 8 tablets (= 4000mg paracetamol)
  

Taking

- Take tablets with sufficient liquid.
- The intake after meals can lead to a delayed occurrence.

Patient information

- Paracetamol-containing medicines should not be used for more than 3-4 days without medical or dental advice and not in increased dose.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist!

- Paracetamol passes into child's blood.
- Studies on numerous mother-child pairs have no evidence of possible undesirable side effects on pregnancy or health of the fetus/newborn. Nevertheless, paracetamol should only be used during pregnancy with strict weighing up the benefit risk ratio.
- Paracetamol should not be taken over a longer period of time, in high doses or in combination with other medicines, since the security of the application is not proven for these cases.
- Paracetamol passes into breast milk. Since disadvantageous consequences for the infant have not yet become known, an interruption of breastfeeding during treatment will generally not be necessary.

You should not use Paracetamol ratiopharm 500mg (pack size: 20 pc) without medical advice for more than 3 days and/or in higher doses. For children up to the age of 12, other dosage forms, such as paracetamol juices or paracetamol suppositories, are recommended.
