Mechanism of Action

How do the ingredients of the medicine work?

The medicine consists of a combination of active ingredients from thyme and primrose (cowslip).Thyme has both disinfectant and expectorant properties.The latter is presumably due to the stimulation of the cilia in the bronchi to move more rapidly.Additionally, lung cells are stimulated to secrete more thin mucus.Thyme relieves spasms in the bronchi.
The ingredients of primrose are able to reduce the surface tension of the fluid covering the alveoli in the lungs, similar to how soap works.This loosens stubborn secretions, allowing them to be coughed up.

1.16 g/7.5 ml thyme herb fluid extract, 0.17 g/7.5 ml primrose root thick extract.Oral solution.

Active ingredients:
Fluid extract of thyme herb, thick extract of primrose root.
