proff^® Pain Cream

Active ingredient: Ibuprofen.

Indications:
For external or adjunctive treatment of muscular rheumatism, degenerative painful joint diseases (osteoarthritis), inflammatory rheumatic diseases of the joints and spine, swelling or inflammation of the soft tissues near the joints (e.g., bursae, tendons, tendon sheaths, ligaments, and joint capsule), frozen shoulder, lower back pain, lumbago, sports and accident injuries such as bruises, sprains, and strains.

Warning:
Contains sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, and fragrances with benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene/d-limonene, and linalool. These may cause allergic reactions.Keep out of reach of children.

Muscle or joint pain can severely restrict daily life.proff^® Pain Cream is applied externally and acts locally on the affected area.

Approved in Germany since 1983, proff^® Pain Cream is one of the first topical medications containing the active ingredient ibuprofen.Its development was based on a European patent for the production of an ibuprofen cream for external use, which was filed in 1982. Today, proff^® Pain Cream is available without a prescription, but only from pharmacies.

The cream is applied to the skin, rubbed in gently, and spreads easily.Thanks to its external application, the active ingredient is absorbed at the affected area – with minimal systemic exposure.

The formulation was specially developed for external use and is generally well tolerated by the skin – even with repeated application.

In cases of severe bruising and sprains, applying an airtight dressing at the start of treatment may be beneficial.

Increased penetration of the active ingredient through the skin can also be achieved by using iontophoresis (a special form of electrotherapy).

Instructions for Use
proff^® Pain Relief Cream is used by adults and adolescents aged 14 years and older.
Apply the cream thinly to the affected area of skin 3–4 times daily and rub in gently.
The usual amount corresponds to a 4–10 cm strip of cream (approx. 2–5 g of cream, equivalent to 100–250 mg ibuprofen).
The maximum total daily dose is 20 g of cream (1,000 mg ibuprofen).
For external use only – do not ingest!
The duration of use is usually 2–3 weeks.

It lasts for over 12 hours and relieves the pain.I've tried other remedies (devil's claw, Voltaren, rubbing alcohol, etc.), but nothing else got rid of the pain in my knee.I can highly recommend "Proff.
