Field of use

Prospan Coughing liquid - for adults (pack size: 30x5 ml) serves to improve the symptoms in chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases; Acute inflammation of the airways cough with the side effect.

Mode of action

Vegetable drugs in catarrhals diseases of the respiratory tract.
The medicine is used to improve the symptoms of chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases; Acute inflammation of the respiratory tract with the side effect cough:
In the event of a long -lasting symptoms or if the shortness of breath, fever as well as in a purulent or bloody expectoration, the doctor should be consulted immediately.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

5 ml of liquid from Prospan cough liquid - for adults (pack size: 30x5 ml) included: Active ingredient: 35 mg dry extract made of ivy leaves (5 - 7.5: 1). Extract: Ethanol 30 % (m/m). Other ingredients: Potassium sorbate (Ph.EUR.) (Conservative), hydration (Ph.EUR.), Xanthan Gummi, Sorbitol solution 70% (crystallizing) (Ph.Eur.), Aroma substances, levomenthol. 5 ml of liquid contain 1.926 G Sorbitol (Ph.Eur.) (Sugar exchanges) = 0.16 BE.

Contradictions

May not be taken if they are hypersensitive to the effective component or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

Recommendation of application of Prospan coughing liquid - for adults (package size: 30x5 ml) Children from 6 to 11 years: 2x a day adult and adolescents from 12 years: 3x a day a stick

Taking

The liquid should be taken in the morning, (at noon) and undiluted in the evening.

Patient information

Particular caution when taking it is required: Children: Medicines are not suitable for use in children under 6 years. Roadworthyt and operating machines: There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy

This medicine should not be used during pregnancy and lactation, since there is no sufficient examinations.

unfortunately, this isn't immediately clear from the product description and is only mentioned as an afterthought upon closer inspection.Not everyone likes it (and I'm one of them).It does work, though.That's why I'm only giving it 3 stars.

My whole family and I have been using Prospan for almost 20 years.It soothes a cough, even when taken at night (which you're not supposed to do with expectorants).It can also be taken during pregnancy (it really helped me 17 years ago).It's been a constant companion ever since.The sachets make it easy to take with you when you travel!Only the Prospan lozenges weren't very popular...

A very good herbal remedy.I was given Prospan drops as a child.I swear by them.
