Contradictions

• The preparation must not be used,
  • if they are hypersensitive to tramazoline or one of the other components. If the intolerance occurs, the preparation must be discontinued immediately
  • Engwinkel glaucoma
  • after surgical interventions that are carried out by the nasal cavity and in which the brain was exposed
  • with dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with bark formation (rhinitis sicca)
  • for infants and small children under the age of 6.

dosage

Application recommendation of Rhinospray in a sniff nasal spray (pack size: 12 ml):

Depending on the need, spray a spray rhinospray® into each nose opening up to 3 times a day.
If the symptoms have not disappeared after a period of seven days, the therapy with rhinospray® should only be continued on medical instructions for runny nose.

• The preparation is intended for nasal application.

Patient information

• Particular caution when using the drug is required
  • In the following illnesses and situations, you may only use the preparation after consultation with your doctor:
    • increased intraocular pressure
    • heavy cardiovascular diseases e.g. B. coronary heart disease and high blood pressure (hypertension)
    • Tumor of the adrenal gland (Phäochromocytom)
    • Metabolic disorders, such as B. Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) and diabetes (diabetes mellitus)
    • Patients who are treated with special mood-enhancing medicines (MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants) and other potentially blood pressure-enhancing medication and drugs against high blood pressure
    • Prostate enlargement
    • Metabolic disease porphyria
  • If the symptoms have not disappeared after a period of seven days, therapy with the preparation should only be continued on medical instruction.
  • Permanent use of slimming snack agents such as this preparation can lead to chronic swelling of the nasal mucosa as well as consequent constipation of the nose and finally to the shrinkage of the nasal mucosa.
  • After the effect of the preparation has subsided, there may be a noticeable swelling of the nasal mucosa (rebound effect).
  • In order to avoid irritation, care should be taken to ensure that the preparation does not come into the eye.
• Children
  • The preparation may only be used in children aged 6 and over.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • No studies on the effect on the traffic and the ability to use machines were carried out.
  • Please note that side effects can occur that could theoretically impair the management of vehicles and operating machines.

Pregnancy

• In pre -clinical studies, there have been no evidence of fruit -damaging effects. So far, there have been no experience in humans with the application during pregnancy.
• There are no clinical studies on the transfer of the drug to breast milk.
• The drug must not be applied during the first three months of pregnancy, in the further course of pregnancy and during breastfeeding it should only be used on medical instruction.

Miscellaneous

- In chronic runny nose, the drug may only be used for special medical advice due to the risk of regression of the nasal mucosa and under medical control.
- To facilitate the secretion of the secretion in the event of an inflammation of the nasal, and when the ear trumpet is closed, the icing with the mucosal swelling (tube catarrh) In conjunction with runny nose, the medicine may only be used according to special medical instruction.
- With a longer application time or higher quantities, possible effects on the heart and vessels are not excluded. In these cases, the ability to guide a motor vehicle, to operate machines and to work can be impaired without a safe hold. This applies even more in combination with alcohol.
- Longer or frequent use as well as higher quantities can lead to stimulus symptoms (burning or dryness of the mucous membrane) and increased crushing mucosa, which are worsened by reinforced drug use (rhinitis medicamentosa).
- This effect can occur after 5-7-day treatment and, if used continued, cause permanent mucosal damage with bark formation (rhinitis sicca).
- In lighter cases, it can be considered to only stop the medicine on a nostril and switch to the other side after the symptoms have subsided in order to maintain at least part of the nasal breathing.
- Incidentally, treatment by means of local use via the nasal mucosa is considered.
- Except for short-term use in acute runny nose, a careful benefit-risk assessment by the doctor should be carried out in all other cases and with regard to use in children.
