The term "B complex" summarizes various vitamins that are important in many metabolic areas - niacin, pantothenic acid and folic acid also belong to the B vitamins. The interaction becomes clear in the following functions: EFSA confirms:

- Folic acid, vitamins B12 and B6 play a role in normal homocysteine metabolism - vitamins B1, B2, B12, niacin and pantothenic acid are involved in energy metabolism.
