In addition to the calcium alginate fibers, Suprasorb A Pro now also contains cellulose fibers - these have a reinforcing and stabilizing effect and increase the performance of the product.

When wound exudate is absorbed, sodium ions are exchanged for calcium ions, creating a gel. Bacteria and cell debris are trapped in this gel and a moist wound environment is maintained
