Field of use

Vertigo vomex SR retard capsules (pack size: 30 pcs) are a remedy for dizziness from the group of H1 antihistamines. Vertigo-vomex SR retard capsules are taken for symptomatic treatment of older patients with dizziness of different origin. If you don't feel better or worse after 14 days, contact your doctor.

The active ingredient is: dimen hydrinate

1 hard capsule, retarded, contains 120 mg dimen hydrinate.

The other components are: Talcum, sucrose, corn starch, shellac, povidon k 30, titanium dioxide, gelatin, quinolingelb, indigocarmine, erythrosine

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

Application recommendation of Vertigo-vomex SR Retard capsules (pack size: 30 pcs):

The recommended dose is:
Another hard capsule in the morning and, if necessary, retarded (corresponding to 120 mg or 240 mg dimen hydrinate per day).
Within 24 hours-if possible, 8 hours away-up to three hard capsules can be taken retarded (corresponding to 360 mg of dimen hydrinate per day).

Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules are to be chewed and taken with plenty of liquid.

Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, are only intended for short-term application. A doctor should therefore be consulted with persistent symptoms. After 2 weeks of treatment at the latest, your doctor should check whether treatment with Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules is still required.

• The retard capsules are to be unscrewed and with plenty of liquid. A time interval of at least 8 hours should be observed between two income.

Patient information

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the preparation
    • Presentation of a Parkinson's disease (Schüttellamt),
    • restricted liver function and/or severely restricted kidney function,
    • Potassium or magnesium deficiency,
    • slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
    • certain heart disease (congenital long QT syndrome or other clinically significant heart damage, in particular circulatory disorders of the coronary arteries, arousal disorders, arrhythmias),
    • simultaneous use of medicines that also extend the so-called QT interval in the EKG or lead to hypocalaemia,
    • chronic breathing difficulties and asthma,
    • Complaints that could be reinforced by anticholinergic therapy (e.g. increased intraocular pressure, narrowing in the area of the gastric gate or the duodenum [Pyloro-Duodenale Obstruktion], benign enlargement of the prostate gland [Prostata-Hypertrophie], high blood pressure [Hypertonie], blood pressure drop an upright position [orthostatische Hypotonie], overactive thyroid [Hyperthyreose], dizziness, sedation or serious illness relating to the coronary arteries).
    • In these cases, the retard capsules may only be taken after consultation with the doctor.
    • With longer treatment, the development of drug addiction cannot be ruled out. For this reason, the drug should only be used briefly if possible.
    • After long -term daily intake, sudden termination of the treatment can temporarily occur sleep disorders. Therefore, treatment should be ended in these cases by gradually reducing the dose.
  • Children and adolescents
    • Overdoses with dimen hydrinate, the active ingredient of this medicine, can be life -threatening, especially in children, and must be avoided.
    • Therefore, the retard capsules must not be used in children under the age of 14 or under 56 kg body weight.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • Sleepiness, memory disorders and reduced ability to concentrate can have a negative impact on the ability to drive or the ability to work with machines. This applies in particular to inadequate sleeping time, when treating treatment and preparation change as well as in interaction with alcohol.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • Dimenhydrinate, the active ingredient of the preparation, can lead to triggering premature labor. The safety of an application during pregnancy is not proven. A risk cannot be ruled out for dimen hydrinate due to clinical data. You may only take the preparation after consulting your doctor and only if he considers an intake necessary.
• Breastfeeding
  • Dimenhydrinate, the active ingredient of the drug merges into breast milk. The safety of an application during breastfeeding is not proven. Since undesirable effects, such as increased restlessness, cannot be excluded to the breastfed child, they should either not apply the retard capsules during breastfeeding or weaned in the period of use.

Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules must not be used in children under the age of 14.
